Man, that’s crazy. I bought the exact spec car with 7k miles (11k kms) last October in Canada for what was equivalent to 225k US. That’s a HUGE premium for extremely low miles car.

I'm assuming that would be about 265k+ if one were to bring it here to the U.S

just a guess - not sure exact fees/taxes and cost from canada

I don’t think going from Canada to US is all that bad. But it is terrible going from US to Canada. If I brought that low miles car into British Columbia, it would cost me over 600k CAN after exchange and taxes. It’s 36% tax on a newly registered (this could be new or imported) luxury car here in BC. I paid 26% tax on that used car that was already registered. Another 10% for a newly registered car. Ugh.

I guess this car is destined to be bought by a collector that wants an as-new example to store in their collection and never drive.

Just how negotiable are these prices? Specifically 991.2 GT3.

Some "fair" priced ones out there but they're undesirable (PDK, rubber dash, poorly optioned cabin, racing yellow ext paint etc). Manuals are hard to find. Manual + PCCB very uncommon and if available still 40-50k above MSRP.

My main question is what kind of margins are we looking at here? Cars listed at 199K-209k is there 20-30k in margins? What are they paying on trade? Where is the inventory coming from?

Tons of 991.1 UV RS' out there.

Funny you should say that. I prefer a PDK and no PCCBs. I've had 2 previous track cars and immediately put the PCCBs in a box and replaced them with Girodiscs. Having tracked manuals for 20 years and PDK for 5, for me, there is no comparison.

There are four green-yellow PTS cars on sale at the same time. Is there some backstory here (such as friends ordering them together or there being former PCNA spec’d cars)?

Noticed this as well, and thought it was a bit odd. Then again there always seems to be at least one PTS green .2 for sale. There are about four or five .1 UV RS' for sale too.

Went to see the car @ Fremont.

FYI it had an accident show up on CarFax (although dealer/owner claims it’s false and is fighting CarFax).

My incoming 4RS has me considering moving on from my Viola Metallic 991.2 PDK GT3 to a 991.2 Touring. Any off-market touring going up for sale anytime soon? Looking for a driver, not a collector's piece.

Came across a Guards, 8k mile, 18 GT3 with manual, sport buckets, and FAL. Car is located in Fort Myers, FL at Autoquest. The DME log is perfect. I spoke with Amy about the car and test drove. Very nice example if anyone is interested. I ended up going in a different direction but this car is clean. No affiliation.
