These touring prices are insane. I paid 15% off MSRP for an RS that was driven 300 miles for 1 month. The price included CPO, complimentary 20k mile service (plugs, air and cabin filters, oil, brake fluid), transport to my door in a single car enclosed carrier and the car had xpel on 50% of its surface. Touring is a nice car but not “15k over msrp for 7k miles 3 years of ownership” nice.

Crap so because I tracked my car I'll have to pay someone to take it off my hands? Oh man, the horror...why didn't anyone tell me? haha

Is it possible that between the owners rabid affection for the car and the press' crowning that it's the best ever, your depreciation scenario doesn't come to pass simply because another car is released (which by the way, is fully subscribed).

I think every model GT, e.g 996, 997, 991, etc., will have its following. The market will evolve as it always does. In addition to supply impact when the "new version" arrives... one of the key variables to the question above will be to what extent will the second or third owner drive the car. From the many posts I have read most folks who buy the GT3T love it so much that they can't stop driving it. Certainly there are many factors that impact how many miles get put on someones car. But if you assume a large population will actually put more normal miles on them then naturally the price will be reflected when someone sells. Likewise, if someone buys now with 300 miles and only puts another 2k on over the next three years then it will be reflected when sold.
