The 991 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

Trying to put a "value" to PTS is a fool's errand. What a color is worth to you or to me may not be the same as it is for person X, Y, Z. Certainly, to me, having PTS was worth the $13,000 surcharge. I routinely get compliments on the color of my PTS Touring when I am out and about in LA. But I also had someone on RL say my car looks like it was unpainted from the factory. And others have opined why I would pay $13,000 for an "off-white" color? Ha, ha. To each, their own.
I do not think you are going to find a universally loved car color any more than you are going to find a universally loved, well, pretty much anything. Buy what you want, not what the next owner might want.

The color is light ivory. Light ivory is a "heritage" color inasmuch as it was one of the color offerings for the original 911 R. Back then, light ivory was pretty much white. Now, it is more of a cream color. A perfect color (for my purposes) for the more "understated" ethos of the Touring.

well here's the answer to 'how much would a highly specced, low mile, PDK go for?'
pretty much MSRP although this has all the high value options and the random CCX or w/e doesn't usually bring that much in resale.

The amount of 911 GT3 auctions in the last month has been all time high in BAT. 997 through 992. Its unbelievable how people are dumping them back to back.

No I wouldn’t, of course with an auction you never know what will happen. You only need two people that really want the car. I would be happy if my Touring is worth MSRP. I didn’t buy the car to make money, I bought it to drive. Maintaining value is a secondary bonus. I have owned GT cars since 2008 and Porsche’s for 43 years. There is too much emphasis on value. I read these threads for entertainment purposes. If you buy a car and are so worried that you will lose money then maybe you shouldn’t buy one to begin with.

Now the one-owner PTS signal yellow '19 GT3 with buckets on BAT will prolly do better relative to MSRP-

This- every day and twice on Sundays. These threads are entertaining- and agree a sale on BAT at MSRP for the Sapphire Blue '18 with sofas / PDK is pretty damn good for a 5 year old car out of warranty with 4 owners and 6 year old tires.

Everything changes over time. I agree the tires don’t really make a difference but you are missing the point. MSRP for a 5 year old car is still pretty good in my opinion.

I am not missing the point. You are missing the point that the prices are coming down. We are saying the same thing. These cars were overpriced a year ago and now they are coming back to normal pricing.
