2016 Voodoo Blue GT3RS asking 238K, 26,452 miles. Lots of add on's. Someone dumped a bunch of money in this in what I think are tasteful modifications. However, usually when you modify something you never get that money back out.

WP0AF2A93GS192766

I remember in 2020 this sat for a few months for sale at Porsche of Pittsburg for 169K. It sold to Exotic Car Hacks (youtuber) in FL for 155K. He then put it up for sale and flipped it for 220K to the current owner. The current owner has taken some very nice, high quality photos. It looks spectacular in this listing.

I just cannot wrap my head around why someone would spend that kind of money on aftermarket mods and then sell the car.

kekekeke
I'm in the process of or have done all of these mods already, maybe prices cheaper nao but

Houndstooth seat inserts - unless these are OEM, it's $1400 from P1 or $1900 from Exclusive Option
Steering Wheel - $999 from Suncoast; looks like there was some extra stuff done at Exclusive Option
991.2 Carbon Paddles - $400 for OEM Weissach; $200 for Ching Chong China generic CF
991.2 PCM - $1350 for PCM, $300 for adapter, anywhere from $free.99 to $1000 for activation/coding depending on how dumb/incapable you are at using Google.
Front Camera - $10-$30 for camera, wiring is $200 labor at most; anywhere from $free.99 to $1000 for activation/coding depending on how dumb/incapable you are at using Google.

I could see it if money weren't really an object. I just picked up a GT4 and have told myself I have to get a lot more seat time to see if I fall in love before I spend further thousands on various tweaks I would do to it in an ideal world. If the money weren't a concern I'd just do it all and then see where the chips fall when it's done. Maybe they just didn't get out of the car what they were hoping to even with all the work. Or they do this with multiple cars like a real life Gran Turismo garage. The other possibility that I see here on rennlist a lot is someone built up a car for fun and wasn't sure about their allocation on a new car if/when, etc. but once the new 992 GT3 RS or GT4 RS arrives the older car has to be sold to make room for the new toy. Who knows?

The wheels are the killer. I’d have replaced the OEM and sold the wheels separately. Easy $15k minimum.

I'm not fussed However I do take great joy in rubbing the naysayers nose in it....

I sold my car at market as it was a top optioned, top tier example. I didn't beat the market.

That was quick! I'd love to purchase to replace my white one, but i'm assuming you want more than what you bought it for?

That's because all you talk about is value, the "deal", timing the market, buying at the bottom, etc-

What a deal when it sold for 155K If only an actual driver and not flipper purchased it then (although i'm sure the flipper is happy he bought it) and drove the tires off it... What a car for 155k...I guess that can also be said once upon a time about the 997.2 3RS . It's a gorgeous car though and deserves to be enjoyed by a driver/enthusiast alike. This will definitely make someone a happy camper sooner or later. I love that an owner went ***** deep on tasteful mods. I like his taste and willingness to spend money to build his vision. Bravo sir. That must have been hard to let go of.

This car popped up on my radar screen. I haven't been following the GT3 market very closely, but wanted to ask this forum for an opinion on this car. If I buy it, it will primarily see track duty. I'd look to install a bolt-in roll bar, race seats with a 6 pt harness, and change the PCCB brakes to steel. Beyond that, I don't think I'd look to make any mods. The car will probably see 15-20 track days per year.

Any thoughts?

I'm sure the immediate first question will be "which motor revision?" Apparently, it can't just be "G" but has to be a late "G" model, just from reading posts and comments here and there over the past few months.

Also, apparently, you can extend the powertrain warranty beyond the 1-2 left? dyor ymmv ofc
