Just had my dealer offer $180K for my car. Outright, not as a trade to another car or allocation.
I paid $160K for it, below MSRP at the time supply exceeded demand.
Hmmmm.
Nope. Have to pay outrageous ADM to replace it.
Prices are effing insane

You should post a comparison once you drive your 992 GT3 a bit. I'd be curious to read it at someone whose in the market for a GT3/RS in the 200-250k range.

Crazy times continue. I'll give everyone another data point just for info. I paid $186k for my 2016 RS (in August) with 14k miles, one owner and very good service history. Indy dealer and they gave me $10k more than I paid for my Turbo (15 with 12K miles, very very clean - $128k trade). $199k sticker on the RS. A year ago it was a $150k car, but my Turbo was probably a $99k car so it's all the same to me.
Nobody knows what the future holds in terms of values, but with the end of ICE on the horizon, I can't think of a better way to go out. I have never been this smitten over a car - it is just so special to me. Just driving it, not even at speed, is special (and I do track it for the full experience).
IMO, if you have the means, just do it. They are just such a joy to drive. Unless of course you have a garage full of other Porsches and Ferraris and such.... then you should leave it for the rest of us. :-)
