Just had my dealer offer $180K for my car. Outright, not as a trade to another car or allocation.

I paid $160K for it, below MSRP at the time supply exceeded demand.

Hmmmm.

Nope. Have to pay outrageous ADM to replace it.

Prices are effing insane

That's a great trade offer, you should consider it with the miles. I know someone in San Diego that just traded their non WP 991.2 RS in white to a dealer for 190k(had around the same miles as you with track time but whole car was clear bra'd although you could see some pitting on the plastic bits).

Yeah if I was you I would take their offer honestly, I've been watching the 991.1 RS market and lots of them listed at 200-215k with 3-7k miles just sitting.

It really is a special car...its my second 991RS and I regretted selling the first one.

You should post a comparison once you drive your 992 GT3 a bit. I'd be curious to read it at someone whose in the market for a GT3/RS in the 200-250k range.

my car's msrp was 218, same color, 4k miles...i think that in this market the price is reasonable based on color and miles...UV was one year in RS, less than 300 for NA

^^^^^In this market I was thinking this UV car is priced right as long as there aren't any stories or issues... UV is a sharp color.

Hi guys, I was looking more for 997.2 GT3 to replace my 2012 GTS, but popped my head in here when I saw the following car:

VIN: WP0AC2A90JS175097

2018 Porsche 911 GT3 Coupe RWD - $177,881 - 19k miles, racing yellow 6 spd manual

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/share/306045121

any stories?

Seems a very fair trade number. Member HOPIV has the same car with 19k miles for sale on RL at $188k and it has 18 months of CPO left, so I am guessing he has his priced right at trade as well. Very nice cars. If you have the space, I would keep it. Would love to hear your comparison as well and CONGRATS on the incoming 992

It's a 0 option, high miles, bought at auction car. Ask for a DME report, may reveal why it hasn't sold.

I don't know about stories but that car has sat for months and months....in this market, that seems a little suspect. Not saying it's a scam, just would expect some red flags.

Crazy times continue. I'll give everyone another data point just for info. I paid $186k for my 2016 RS (in August) with 14k miles, one owner and very good service history. Indy dealer and they gave me $10k more than I paid for my Turbo (15 with 12K miles, very very clean - $128k trade). $199k sticker on the RS. A year ago it was a $150k car, but my Turbo was probably a $99k car so it's all the same to me.

Nobody knows what the future holds in terms of values, but with the end of ICE on the horizon, I can't think of a better way to go out. I have never been this smitten over a car - it is just so special to me. Just driving it, not even at speed, is special (and I do track it for the full experience).

IMO, if you have the means, just do it. They are just such a joy to drive. Unless of course you have a garage full of other Porsches and Ferraris and such.... then you should leave it for the rest of us. :-)
