i am. I hardly ever post. But I’ll post a few pics here. Car is due to arrive end of the week/early next week. I thought for sure it wouls
be here by now. Oh well- one more week to go.

btw- GTR is back in the mix. Trying to finalize the color/spec etc.

i decided against the T because as soon as I bought it, I would have kept telling myself - you should just got a Touring. I never would have been happy completely.

i decided against a GT3 for a daily cause the bucket seats are just too much for a daily. I love them but forgot they aren’t easy and as much as I loved my 3rs previously- I did swap that with another car occasionally. That would not be posisbe with the Pista and 720 in the garage as I never take those to the office.

so GTR is it. Unless I can find a Touring with sofas in the next week or so for the same price which is doubtful.

i have to head out of town for a week. Back next week but gone again so likely I’ll pull the trigger on the daily after the new year. Just too much going on right now with work and travel and the Pista incoming.

I have 63k miles on the GT3, with the sofas and this is mostly Los Angeles and Orange County driving.

I couldn't do it with the buckets so I hear you.

Good luck on your search. Don't tell her but if it were me I'd buy that GTR and tell your wife to be upset at you for something else.

i love the buckets and how they look but over the weekend, went out to dinner with a buddy in his GT3 buckets and thought to myself- either I’m getting too old or he just have gotten different buckets than what I had cause I don’t remember them being so rough to get in and out of. lol.

Test drove the GTR again today and it was a blast. But tonight for ****s and giggles I started looking st Tourings and wouldn’t you know found 3 great specs all with sofas. And now I’m mentally justifying to myself that the price is only a few grand more but in the long run it will retain value much better.

Im all over the place. I’m a freaking idiot.

Yippie - let me make this decision easy for you. Get the Touring and don't look back. Thank me later.

My Touring has buckets but it is not my DD. My GTS has 4-ways. Although I prefer the buckets (both in terms of comfort and overall ethos of the buckets in the GT3), I would agree that if this is going to be your DD (but my impression is it is not your DD?), then sofas would be the way to go. My primary issue with using the GT3T as a daily is not seat-related, it is engine-related. For me, driving around in bumper to bumper traffic in LA is not where the GT3 shines. It took me close to an hour to go 10 miles this evening. Left my office in BH at 6 and got to the beach at 7. In my PDK GTS, no biggie. If I had been in my GT3T, I would have gone nuts, sitting in traffic, putzing along at 5-10 mph in first gear, worried about getting rear-ended by the pot smoking and texting driver behind me. For me, anyway, at the end of the day, the Touring shines no matter what seat. Just get the seat that works best for your situation. The car is such a beast that it all comes down to personal preference with the seats, you really can't go wrong either way.

A GT3 needs buckets. They are the most comfortable and after a few times, you get in and out without even thinking. I’d never spec sofas in a GT car. For a softer ride, maybe a Pano would be a better option.

Even if you want the sofas; it's probably a better financial decision to buy the Touring with the buckets and source some slightly used sofas to install separately (usually pretty easy). The bucket seats are probably the one option that seems to be worth more by itself than when sold as part of the car.

I DD my GT3T with buckets. I agonized over that decision and really wanted sofas. When I got the car for the first few days I thought that these buckets will be a real PIA to get in and out of a few times per day. Now 9 months later I really do not think about it any more and really like them.

18-ways are probably worth more than buckets as there are no aftermarket alternatives to 18-ways. There aren’t even OEM options as dealers don’t sell the 18-ways as a one piece item.

Buckets? Plenty aftermarket ones. As nd you can buy then assembled as a stand alone.

This for the win!

Agree 1000%

And I think the 991.2 Touring will be the car out of all we are talking about will hold its value better than most. Mostly over a GTR but do what makes you most happy.

I think the Touring is gonna be more like a 3.6 965 in a few years.

Seems like a good deal to me on a set of gt3 18way seats - (if you find the right car with buckets.)
