KKenosha - thanks for your comments, I made similar calculations while developing the tool and came to the same conclusion. Seeing that Porsche uses the same technique (electrically driven) to mount GT3/Turbo S wheels at the factory further convinced me it was safe.
We've been having fun shipping tools around the world to start the year (including one above the Arctic Circle!), and are trying to keep a few tools in stock for quick shipment as we head into the track/cars & coffee season.
If I can help with anything please let me know.
Thanks,
John

I saw the comment above about how much pressure the tool applies on the wheel. For my 991.1 Turbo-S, max engine torque is 516 ft/lbs. with a 3l91 first gear and 3.44 final drive ratio, max torque at the wheels (assuming no drivetrain friction loss) would be 6940 ft/lbs, full throttle, first gear, 2100 rpm. Assuming the 10 spoke wheels shows in the video, roughly 694 ft/lbs of torque would be applied to each spoke. I do not know the length of the reaction bar portion of the RennTorq device, but rough calculation would indicate that it is probably exerting a force similar to what the wheel would experience under full throttle acceleration. Braking forces are even higher, and the wheels are (of course) designed to handle these loads with a significant safety margin. Based on this, the tool should be quite safe, even beyond the max output torque.

I bought one of these from John a month or so ago.
Very happy I did. I change wheels frequently and this is so worth having for me!
It is a very nice tool!

I'm glad the tool is working well for you and thank you for the business. The combination of Golf Blue and the wheels you have on your car looks outstanding!

We're confident this is the fastest way to get a centerlock wheel off or on the car. The simplicity of the tool (no batteries, chargers, etc), and an unmatched form factor (carrying case is 11" x 9" x 3.5") have led to a lot of satisfied customers.

i use this torque wrench with Renntorq. You can use it to break the centerlock loose.

- any force applied to the tool after the 'click' or applied in the opposite direction to the current function – e.g. forcible loosening of a jammed screw - does not act on the trigger mechanism and cannot cause damage to it.”

No, don't think it will click counter-clockwise. The best way to ensure no over-torque to multiplier is to rebuild and lubricate the centerlock bolt mechanisms every year if used frequently (otherwise it sometimes takes a bunch of force to break loose - could use a breaker bar instead of Renntorq in those cases, if needed).

Make sure your centerlock is properly lubricated with the anti-sieze especially on the threads you will not have problem.
