About the only thing that is similar is that they both multiply torque.

Kidding aside, the key differences with the RENNtorq system are:

- Bespoke reaction arm (with non-marring contact point specifically designed to fit most common GT3/Turbo/GTS centerlock wheel applications)
- The reaction arm allows removal of all four wheels with the car off the ground, with a minimal amount of force required on the brake pedal
- High precision, individually certified torque multiplier with the ideal multiplication ratio for ease of use without any undesirable torque wind-up
- This multiplier has the smallest form factor on the market with the required torque rating
- Custom carrying case (that won't fill your entire frunk with torque gear).

If you have any questions on the tool please reach out to me at:

renntorq@gmail.com

Thanks,

John

Even if you buy it, use it for a while now and sell it later, you'll recover a large portion of your cost.

Depends on the options. Some got theirs with no ADM (aka the group buy).

Quick update, all orders have now been fulfilled (thanks for your patience!) and for the first time we actually have a few units in stock for immediate shipment.

If anyone is getting ready for track season and would like to add a Renntorq to your toolbox just let me know.

Thanks,

John

Haven't read whole thread.. May be dumb queston

Since it only take 95 ft.lbs. to remove... Can it be used the re-install the wheel? Torque to 95 ft. lbs. again??

Or would that be a no no or not accurate enough??

For securing the wheel on the car you input ~94 ft*lbs into the multiplier and the output to the wheel is 443 lb*ft (OEM spec). The multiplier comes with a individual certification that gives you the exact multiplication factor for the tool to within +/- 0.5%. For example on the the attached cert you can see the Multiplier Mean Ratio of 4.73:1. This means input torque is multiplied by 4.73 to create the output torque. So in our case if you input 93.6 ft*lbs in you will get ~443 going to the wheel. 93.6 x 4.73 = 443

With the certified tolerance on the multiplier you have the accuracy you need for tightening the wheel on the car.

For removing the wheel you input as much torque as required to break it free - usually in the 90 - 110 lb*ft range.

If you have any other questions just let me know.

Thanks,

John

Wouldn't the wrench have to go backwards for that to happen?

I was recently shopping for one today and read something about the model I was looking at said it could be changed...

I'll try to find it again and make sure.

EDIT:

Here's the wording from the add

"3/4" Drive SAE 200-600 ft-lb Split Beam Adjustable Click Torque Wrench and Breaker Bar Combo Pack (C4D600F36H) by Precision Instruments®. The family of Split-Beam Click Wrenches works in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, stores easily and includes a convenient storage case. Because they take up less space than larger micrometer click wrenches, these tools can even be stored in truck cabs or roll cabs. The tools “break down” into three components: ratchet, torque body and extension tube. To help busy operators, the extension tube includes instructions on rotating the ratchet for counterclockwise operation."

Hi Rennlisters,

RENNtorq is up and running and supplying center lock torque solutions to those who are looking for them.

Tools are being individually assembled as orders come in and they are typically shipping within 2-3 business days.

Thanks for all the support from Rennlist - we hope you have a chance to get out there and enjoy your GT car(s) while the roads are relatively empty!

John
