Do you have a real job?

Retired customer service rep. Don't have big bucks. Always wanted a 911. Carrera suits me fine. Rented a 991.2 last month as part of my bucket list . My wife said she never saw my smile sooooo wide. With her buy in ( partner of 50 years this September) about to use 25% of our savings on a 2019. Never did something so impulsive, but, hey, no family to leave it to, so we are going for it!
Thanks for listening.

‘The details of my life are quite inconsequential. Where do I begin ?
My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my *********. There really is nothing like a shorn *******, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.’

Been going to my doc for 30 odd years. Sign in his waiting room is "Sorry for the wait, good care takes time". Fully agree, you can't always take good care in a 15 min slot. There are some that try because they aren't overly concerned or are trying to cram appointments in because that's how they get paid.
Here in the United States surgeons also overbook surgeries, even at different hospitals: https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...jcO/story.html

That would be acceptable if true, unfortunately doctors intentionally overbook patients to the point that a specialists have 4 patients in 4 separate rooms. How? The patients are visited by the assistant of the assistant and so on until the doctor shows his face for 30 seconds to make the visit official.

I think the thread should be titled, "What is your job/occupation?".
Isn't it a given 99.9% of the guys here have a real job or had one and retired??
Doesn't seem like there are any "Rich Kids of Rennlist" here the are mooching off their parents and don't have a job.
With the Garage Talk mobile App, it's easy to follow RL on the move anytime. I never use a desktop, and yes I have a "real job" that's very time consuming.

So for me if RL counts : could be an 2RS in future , and a nice honey dew reply .

Interesting article. It was not only until a few years ago I really became aware of the "business" of patient care. Never put any real thought into it. I always assumed everything was done in the interest of generally good care. There's more "business" involved than expected.

Just another cardiothoracic surgeon here. Just had the good fortune to buy good-sized positions of NVDA at $18 and ABMD at $22 in April 2014. Believe it or not, performing open heart surgery and surfing car forums are the lowest stress parts of my day.
