Why would they need to move cars around if they are compliant? My allocation actually got moved up.

The current stage of Euro VI requires a new set of tests which simulate the use of the car in the real world, they actually drive the car outside a lab now. Every manufacturer was, of course, on the edge of the restrictions previous Euro VI stage. Current Porsche models, and specially GTs cars, cannot comply with this new stage and set tests.

Deadline for engine certification with previous regulation was Sept 2017
Deadline for car registration with previous regulation is Sept 2018

So basically GT3s cannot be registered under Euro regulations after august this year, they have to build and deliver before that.

GT3 RS first run will be under the old regulation, second run will be under the new regulations but will have to use particulate filters (yes, like diesel vehicles). Maybe US Spec cars or RoW cars that don't need to comply with Euro regulations will be free of this.

Funny that at some point US cars were the more restricted ones compared to Euro (M3 E36, M3 E46), today is the other way around.

mine was fixed on 3/9....I still don't believe anything anyone tells me at this point

Good News : My SB Manual has exited production 3/22 a day earlier than planned. It was to have exited 1/26 so about a 2 month delay. Elated with this news, should be at my dealer 1st week of May. Fingers Crossed.

My Manual SB was moved from early September delivery at the dealer to last week in July...

Woah that is a big delay.... sorry to hear. Really interesting to guess what is going on at Zuffenhausen. My build was pushed a month early from Feb to Jan this year production. Seems to be very sporadic on what is delayed vs. finished on time or even early

I think he means moved 2017 to 2018.

Mine moved from September 2017 production to anticipated June 2018 production with August 2018 delivery.

To clarify, yes mine moved up six weeks...September 2018 to July 2018... I spend time at my dealer weekly and I have not heard of any push backs...

I'm guessing - if you have PTS - that your paint was already ordered at the point that cars started getting pushed back?

Just called about my car to see where we were at. Was supposed to be locked on 3/23 with a June delivery, now I'm a September delivery. Thinking of pulling my pts color and going stock. I was originally torn between Miami and UV. Went with UV for the rareness but not sure it's worth the wait now.
