Are GT3s with ADM moving off dealer lots?

It occurs to me that maybe I should say why I'm bothering to post in a thread like this, given that I already have a GT3 which I intend to keep for a long time.
My sense is that a thread like this, where people talk about paying ADM and justifying it based on perceived market conditions, encourages both buyers and dealers to keep the price up, which winds up generally costing buyers more money and giving dealers excess profit. Conversely, if the thread was full of the people who managed to pay MSRP, and were dismissive of paying ADM, the average ADM would be less and maybe close to zero. In other words, I think discussions like this, which may be read by a large percentage of prospective buyers, and many dealers also, can actually move the market in a direction unfavorable for buyers, since the GT3 market isn't that large in absolute terms.
I'm not unsympathetic to the need for dealers to make a profit, but the profit margins at MSRP are already quite high.

Looks better in person then on the configurator. I was detailing my 718 in the driveway and a women stopped and said "I have to tell you the car looks stunning". I can't tell you how many thumbs up and waves I get when driving the Miami Blue 718........Though, this time I want a Guards Red........

Me thinks GT3s are the Beanie Babies of 2018! To pay $25k ADM and giving dealers around $50k in profits willl come back to haunt the buyers of these cars. If your tracking these cars its even worse. If your holding them hoping that they wont deprecate, history says they will. The 992 is just around the corner and promises to be even better. The dealers are making BIG profits out of this highly inflated market and its being fed by total Porsche fan boy paranoia
just my two cents

It's great if you can keep both. Obviously very different driving experiences. I love my Spyder the best. Not sure if I will like the GT3 more than the GTS or not. I may end up selling one or the other but not the Spyder, and it's the least expensive one by far.

I bought a '16 GT3 and a '16 RS last year both pre-owned, low miles, both over MSRP, sold both over MSRP, the RS was just resold at MSRP. While many may not like ADM it in many cases is just part of the experience. For me at least it never materially mattered. A little more money up front but I got it all back.

The data CamsPorsche compiled shows that manual was selected in about 55% of the GT3s. I personally wanted the sofas and the PDK but I realize there was a loud outcry for the manual option.

As I've posted before there are a subset of folks that like Porsches but who only like to drive manual sports cars. They are not interested in fastest 0-60 to lap times, they just like working a third pedal. I am one of those folks and I think I'm not alone. I understand how great the PDK is and respect that. However, if Porsche only made PDK transmissions in all of their sports cars I would probably go back to a Corvette manual. I enjoy the PDK in my Macan but all my sports cars are manual and will be as long as my left leg allows.

This is my first post although I’ve been lurking here for awhile. I have been driving an E92 M3 for the past nine years and hoping to get my first GT3. I’ve been trying to get a 991.2 GT3 allocation for awhile now and this is how I see the status quo:
- demand far outweighs supply.
- dealers naturally extend preferential treatment to regular customer. Regular customers defined as multiple vehicle purchases over a relatively short amount of time.
- a lot of people willing to spend a lot of money on cars.
- lots of people buying cars not to drive but more of a showpiece.
For first time Porsche buyers like me, it’s impossible to get the GT3 at MSRP. It feels like there is a premium to be paid, whether it be buying lots of other cars and taking depreciation there to earn the right to be at the top of the MSRP list or paying ADM outright. Although I am fundamentally against paying ADM, I am pretty much resigned that this is the only way I will be able to get a GT3.

GT3 are so hot right now. A few years ago there were RS's sitting on lots that you could get at MRSP or below.
Are ADM cars coming off of lots? Did you see the post about the stolen GT3, not that I would condone such a thing.
