I think I'd drop mine also. Just keep my old stuff. I don't want it that badly.

Just spoke with my SA and he echoed what the sales manager stated that this will not affect the deals already made. Really want the 3RS but, even though I could afford the additional cost of a tariff that would, based upon my core values, violate right reason. ADM okay, limited edition so it's the new market reality but ADM + tariff absolutely not. I have been spying some nice Lamborghini's (***on the lot***) if this deal goes belly up.

For those waiting on a delivery what would each of you do if there is a +/- 20% price increase? For me that could be as much as a 50K price increase.......
You already paid an ADM, what's another 20%.

If this ever takes into effect, it will affect all brands, not only PORSCHE. There's not much anyone can do about it. Hoping new tariffs gets delayed so we can still get our toys at the published and ordered price.

Drive safe,

Hoping cars presently on the dealerships lots will not be affected but we shall see.

It would not affect cars that already passed thorough the ports, if and when such tariffs go into effect. If they must, I hope such tariffs don’t go into effect until next year.

If it goes into effect after you get your car, simple economics will tell you the value of your car will go up.

Absolutely, I thought about that but the reality is it will also affect all future Porsche purchases and Porsche parts. If the tariff goes into effect after I get my 3RS essentially it will negate my ADM for all intents and purposes. Though, I prefer to have things calm down and we get back to a simpler time when we only had to ruminate about whether to ADM or not, and endless configurator permutations.

No doubt all foreign used cars values will go up.

If tariffs are imposed it will affect all cars entering the US on the effective dates of the tariffs. It doesn't make any difference if you have a signed deal. The tariff will be applied once it enters a US port.

Look at your sales order. Dealer can raise price if PCNA raises price.

There is a policy issue for Porsche. They could absorb it on pre -ordered cars as goodwill but that is a lot of goodwill. I presently have a December build Jan delivery. Hoping that gets advanced as has recently happened w others.

Cheers

Another justification for paying and ADM

That's correct. Most car sales AGREEMENTS (as opposed to contracts) read that way. But the tariffs are not between the customer and Porsche. They are between the US government and Porsche. Porsche will have to pay the tariff before the car is allowed to enter the US. BTW, I believe today the US has a 2.5% tariff on cars produced outside the country. WE never see that charge. Its probably build in the MSRP.

The sales manager at my dealership sent an e-mail to the "mothership" earlier today, as he put it, and as soon as he gets back with me, I will post the intel.

Just read an article regarding the tariff's on EU cars. They pointed out that Porsche would be most impacted. VW and BMW have plants in the US and Mexico and most of their cars would not be impacted.

VW and BMW's cars that are US assembled have low US parts content, so tariff on parts would also be an issue.
