It was a good look. The 997RS after that one, I did it all in silver, looked also very clean.
That actually sounds really nice.

So I was just speaking to someone in a parts dept and they're going to double check on the 2RS/3RS wheel size differences, but he did say that he remembered looking into it before and there is a couple of mm offset difference ... he was almost certain on it for the rear and couldn't remember about the front. Probably unnoticeable to those without debilitating OCD, but I am not one of those lucky bastards. For those that don't mind the slight offset difference (if confirmed) then they probably also won't mind the wrong livery stamp on the wheels should they swap them from a 3RS to a 2RS or vice versa, whereas I would never sleep again, ever!

From what I've seen the 2RS and 3RS wheels have the same offsets with front ET50 and rear ET48. Of course they now have their specific model engraving.

My '16 has no sticker (car is white) and it looks so clean.

My '19 currently has the sticker, but before it locks in a few weeks I'm thinking about doing the delete to keep that clean look.
delete for me

Interesting article in Road & Track.............or not you be the judge.

https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...s-first-drive/

Interesting quote:

"The motor in the old 991.1 GT3 RS is great, but it can't match the fury and response of this one. Preuninger puts it best when he says this engine "has so much meat in it." He's biased, of course, but he's right."

I think that's about as early as you can get, then the august break. My build is Sept with a Euro pick up on Sept 25th, earliest I could get given build schedule.

Dealer inventory as of 9/14/18, but always 10 days to 2 weeks earlier on my last two GT cars.

Thanks all; my Dealer Inventory date moved from 28 September to 14 September but looking at the "Entry/Exit Port Emden" dates that is a 3 week time frame.............that has got to be conservative. My 718 CS arrived 3 weeks early.....hoping the same with the 3RS.

Naturally.

I will be doing a PPF and live in central Austin any recommendations for a good vendor? My preference is to use Suntek Ultra.

I used Sunbusters as well for all my GT cars and exotics. They have always done excellent work.

Not the case, that sounds like random employees just guessing random things so their own job would be easier

Takes just a minute to check any Porsche material yourself: Both 2RS and 3RS have the same wheel specs, including offsets, widths, and tire sizes.
9.5x20 ET 50 front and 12.5x21" ET 48 rear, these have not changed from the gen1 3RS (but the default wheel itself is a tad different looking and bit lighter in the gen2 RS than in the gen1 RS - that is a bit surprising detail actually).
