Just double checked, AP's words:

991.2 GT2RS rear: 160N/mm

Based upon my reading there were some significant issues with the E, F and earlier G engines (<G05373) which did not come with DLC coated cams requiring engine replacement in some 2015/2016 GT3s. The earlier G engines (<G05373) are also found in the 991.1 GT3-RSs.
Porsche has addressed engine issues under warranty (I just got mine replaced), so I wouldn't worry about that sort of thing. When I test drove the GT3 and GT4 fairly sedately, the test drives didn't reveal their true character. When you get the car and really get on it, I think you'll be beyond happy. The reviews lack negatives because they're minor and totally swamped by the positives and the overall experience.

To convert these rates to lbs/inch like most of us see in the US.

991.1 GT3RS rear: 120N/mm. 684lb/inch
991.2 GT2RS rear: 160N/mm. 912lb/inch
991.2 GT3RS rear: 160N/mm

That is reassuring that Porsche stepped up to the plate and took care of their most loyal customers, the GT car owners.
All true, the GT3-RS, from all objective measurable indicators is simply amazing race car right down to the incredible Nurburgring Nordschleife lap time. Also noteworthy the new design changes are stunning whereby Porsche has managed to create yet another work of art.

Beyond the objective indicators and details, there's a distinct synergy to the design and performance of these cars which owners and reviewers have a hard time putting into words. This was pretty much my reaction when I first really drove the GT3:

Thanks for sharing......Big Smile. Let me return the kind favor.....enjoy!

Came across this video of the 3RS clearly composed by Porsche acolytes but, I think it's fun nevertheless. The 991.2 can be seen up to about 5:12 in the video then they discuss the older version the 991.1. I liked the video editing and drama plus they graphically highlight some of the design elements of the 3RS at the same time. The only word of caution for car enthusiasts in several clips you will see Andreas Preuninger sitting on the driver front fender while wearing jeans......ouch!

I'm going to look into it. As of yesterday my ED date was tentatively set for September 24th (despite my wife's objections!), so now I will look into PPF. I remember seeing somewhere on RL that someone had located a facility near Zuffenhausen, so will see if I can dig it up somehow. Supposedly WP did not delay my build, so that was good news. Can't wait for September, will see how many Alpine Passes I can hit it a week! Plus, I am looking into Spa and Nurburgring organized track events that will coincide with my trip. I have no interest in a Tourist day at the Nurburgring.

I will check with my dealership and see if they know of a place to get the PPF installed as well. If it's possible to find a quality installer in Germany I would consider Euro delivery option. Please post if you get some helpful information.

You should ask if Porsche will do PPF for you before you collect your car. They have done this before.

I would just warn that I bought a .1 3RS from a friend that had PPF done at a German shop Porsche recommended before Euro Delivery. It was without question the worst clear bra job I've ever seen. The installation itself was fine but there wasn't a 12" section on it that didn't have some type of glaring imperfection in the film, and they did every inch of the car. Really never seen anything like it, and I've had many cars done at my place. I've seen plenty of PPF scrapped because of these issues, never left on the car. Wasn't cheap either, and there wasn't really any recourse for the original owner.

Removed all of it.

Thanks for the heads up; appreciated. Must have been monumentally upsetting for your friend to see the poor quality on such a beautiful car.
