MY completion build date was moved from September 14th to July 20th. My delivery date moved from early November to September 28th. The 28th date is probably closer to the 14th of September based on past experience.
I wonder what's going on? I never had my car moved up by two months. Not that I am complaining.

I have a theory as why many of the RS allocations are being moved up. I don't have any facts to support the theory but it is plausible.
My understanding is the GT models are built on the same line as the regular 911 models. Since it is well known that the 992 will be introduced this fall, the anticipated 991 orders have fallen short and he line production is being filled by the RS builds. Also, it is rumored that the GT3 production will end in June and that also freed up space on the line to build the RS.
The result of all this is more RS's will be built which should be good news for those waiting for an allocation.

The only current model 991.2 you can order is a GTS. So your idea is in most likely a fact. Another contributing factor is the supply issue with WP. it seems that non-WP cars are being pulled forward and WP cars pushed back. so if you are inline for a Non-WP car, there is a strong chance you will get it early.

My WP car got moved up as mentioned with dealer delivery on August 31st. So maybe not entirely accurate regarding WP vs non-WP?

I'm not sure about arranging it independently, but it comes with Euro Delivery (Leipzig and Zuffenhausen). You'll get a tour of various parts of the factory/production line, explanation of the production process/how the lines & factory guys work. I think my tour was about an hour long? Very, very cool experience!!
