This saves a lot of money over the full seat tailoring which was the only option previously for hounds tooth fabric centers.

It really is too bad CXX changes on the fly. There really are not that many potential CXX options that we have not seen before on prior 991 models. Once A CXX option has been approved for one client - It should forever be available for future similar models (all 991 for example) - the fee for this is charged accordingly and a clear list of CXX options should be clearly listed before production starts. Now it requires a consultation with Porsche Exclusive by email or in person. Why should the menu change month to month? Better organization is required.

For a country full of rules and tradition - it seems odd they can't handle such a small list. Furthermore, they advertise Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur - big tease!!!!

So Montoya, if you spend the money for the Houndstooth seat inserts, you can also change the color of the leather. And by changing the color of the leather on the seats, does this change the color of leather for the entire car? Or is that extra? Thx

Sorry, you misunderstood my post. For $3555 you are only modifying the bucket seat inserts- not the surrounding leather. That will require the full custom seat tailoring option which is $8K+. You can choose for the insert any of the 911 leathers available in standard options. Hope this is clearer.

Well, actually Porsche has made available a CXX option just for the seat inserts. I posted this earlier, the cost is $3,555. It is available for the Touring models as well, I just confirmed today. You have your choice of any of the 911 standard leathers, two colors of hounds tooth and black alcantara or any other alcantara available on 911's, except the colors in the GT2, so basically, just black!
This saves a lot of money over the full seat tailoring which was the only option previously for hounds tooth fabric centers.
