If you want logic out of the PTS build sequences, I have very little to offer. I will say that it used to be that almost all PTS were pushed back toward the end of the production year. But now only some are pushed back. Still, more PTS at the end than early in the build cycle. With GT3: First batch, PDK only no PTS. Second batch you ask for PTS and get pushed back whether you get PTS or not. Go to the end of the line. Most got it, some did not. All were delayed. Now, the end of the line allocations Sept-Dec PTS GT3 is easy to get. Just ask. You wait. I wait. Lots of us wait. Who cares? No one complaining is without a Porsche.

Bottom line is Porsche has made clear that PTS = Please Take a Seat and wait.
Instagram is not a reliable data source for determining production scheduling. I’m not totally dissing your theory but there is no data to support it and there is data to refute it.

Production scheduling is a very complicated algorithm that is 100% driven by the suppliers ability to deliver parts in the proper sequence. For PTS cars there is not only the issue of paint for the car but paint from the same lot must be supplied to the bumper supplier, the door handle supplier, the mirror supplier, side skirts, whatever interior bits will be PTS and then all of those schedules must be coordinated. ( Most of the plastic parts are supplied already painted in a specific production sequence). Obviously the wart supplier would not take on the task of PTS warts. I have seen cars coming out of paint and they do not come out in batches. They don’t even paint non PTS cars in batches.

Default Good fortune finds the Irish

Well good fortune found its way through Germany to the O’Brien family! And a not a moment too soon.

Happy to share we are flying out Tuesday night the 7th for European Delivery. After ordering the car in November for an April build and May ED, we were floored with this news from PCNA:

Please forgive me for not saying, sorry some of you are delayed still. I had literally given up hoping for the GT3 to complete for ED.
this is quite a big deal for my 19yo son and I to experience together.

That's awesome! Contrats on the ED! My 3RS delivery is in January, so no ED this time. Would love to go experience it twice (once with my 23 yr old and once with my 16 yr old). Just need to plan my car purchases better next time I guess! Tried to move my 3RS delivery out to end of March or early April 19, but was told no. Oh well, guess I'll take it when I can get it!

I think our cars were finished on the same day! Congrats to finally getting your car completed!

My Euro delivery is Sept. 18th, wish now it was sooner like you.

^ good point. Jaime does a very nice job. Not in her realm of power to move production dates; I can attest to that!

Why? She never answers her phone...

We have had good correspondence over E-mail, but it is difficult to get in touch. Obviously she triages her correspondence- when it’s important like above she’s on it. She probably gets a lot of “are we there yet?” messages, myself included, LOL!

From what I remember hearing they are not going to be 2019's as they will not pass EU emission standards.
