You could do that Or you could send over some strippers, beer and pizza

I'm sure their 918 guys can send over more expensive strippers than me.

In all seriousness, I hope you find your allocation. It is clear you really want a GT3, and hopefully it comes together. On an optimistic note, last go round people posted available allocations that were unspoken for on a thread just like this, and some fast movers got their GT3 that way.

Here's a guess on how this plays out....first batch of GT3s will mostly be a flip fest. The folks willing to pay the most will buy these flip cars or bite the bullet and pick up a car at "market price" from a stealership. Then Porsche will release the GT2 or GT2RS and that'll take some steam out of the GT3. The 2nd batch of GT3s (probably fall allocations) will start going to drivers and really good customers of dealers. I think it's the 3rd round of allocations (Spring 2018 maybe?) is where many of us who don't buy many or any non-GT cars will have our opportunity to buy the GT3.

Similar stupid rumors when the 991.1 came out. Emissions and reverse camera was the excuse back then. Except they kept making cars and even made a 2016 model. Stop the hysteria. It only emboldens the scumbag dealers as they try to fleece buyers

Some can't go any lower, trust me. It's a lost cause.

There are a small handful of stand up sales guys and dealers. Can't throw them all under the bus.

But ... we can't ignore the fact that the .2 production cycle will be shorter than the .1 with the upcoming 992. No way will there be more than a 2yr model year.

This is true of all models. Seems like they have a few more GT's to push through for the .2

I expect things to move quick with a few GT variants in a short timeframe.

I'm hoping to slide into an earlier spot since I want PDK and the line is out the door for manuals which start production later. This time it's LWB or bust though since I'm tired of flying around on track in 18 ways. Hopefully LWB aren't limited like they were when my name was called to order my GT4!

Don't bet against the wife Rob! Bronson said she's gonna want to drive it.
A friendly wager?

Just kiddin' guys...you know me... whichever transmission he gets it will be epic! I still believe manual,NA,4.0 is a keeper and might not be seen ever again...just my humble opinion...

You are right TM5, he said the 918 crowd are passing on these. How many cars can they possibly buy? (918/991 Turbo Edition, GT3, GT3RS, 911R). Apparently they are waiting to buy the new 991.2 GT2RS which will be offered to the 918 guys first.

I got a different story from every dealership I spoke to (5). I think that they all had their sales meeting today with management and were all told different things. It's kind of funny really. "Go get 'em kids! as much as you can get out of those suckers!"
hmm looks like i'm #3 manual then at sonnen (deposit 1.5 yrs ago and was #4 overall but one guy dropped out already), wonder if that even puts me in the first wave of manual cars this fall

I does seem the hysteria around these cars is getting abit much. Perhaps its only on RL? Are we doing this to ourselves?

Ive already signed my contract/purchase order confirmed at MRSP for a manual, but was told it will be likely 2018 arrival due to later availability. lucky me.

I was also told that Porsche is looking at prior buying history to help prioritize PTS allocations as they are being swamped with PTS requests. Im guilty and fingers are crossed for Voodoo Blue. Not sure if that is true or not, but after a lot of Porsche purchases this dealer has been pretty accurate over the years.
