As I (vaguely) recall from the (non PTS) experience with my '15 GTS this occurred in mid Nov for a midApril build...

Seems like everyone that is requesting PTS for the build is going into V180 status. Either everyone is getting an approved slot, or most of us are in for a surprise eventuallly...

The $12K cost makes VIP (very important profit) status easier to achieve. I suspect that all the requests from the approved list (not an actual PTS request) will make it to production. People forget that the .1 PTS problems were tied to the stop sale to begin with and then a never fully explained problem with paint quality. Those issues appear to be resolved.

Gents:
My point is that it appears that Prz3
believed that CO2 was the color code
for 'Fashion Grey' because of what he
read on his built sheet (thus his original
post above). And that is not so! The color
code for 'Modegrau', as many of you know,
is 61H.
My 'Signal Green' (color code 22S) .1 991 gt3
had the same marking in the built sheet. It
doesn't mean what some of you think it means.
Neither the 'built sheet' nor the Monroney
provided by PAG/PCNA includes the name
or the actual code of your paint hue...as
odd as that sounds!

Why are there only 5 PTS slots for .2 991
gt3 in all of Australia? Why are .2 991 gt3
PTS slots limited in Canada & some there
have been rejected? Why was PTS in the
'16 911R, which was almost exclusively
allocated to hand-picked VIP customers in
ROW & 99% to 918 Spyder Circle members
in the USA, restricted to between 50 & 100
cars of a total 991 built?
Unless PAG has had a mental sea-change,
or monumental transformation, in the way
it looks at PTS & allocates slots for its production,
I just do not see how EVERY PTS request for
the .2 991 gt3 for regular customers (non-918
VIPs) in the USA will be approved! But I would
be very happy if this PTS transformation would
take place at PAG...just in time to end this bizarre
V180 purgatory!

So Eduardo, for your best guess...what % of us mortal buyers in the US will have our PTS requests approved? 50%? 25%?

I am not convinced by this logic, Steven.

to pay for die$elgate? my gut feeling there will be more PTS on .2 than .1......
#764
in PTS for just the .2 991 gt3 model
will pay for Dieselgate?
Of course there will be more PTS in
the .2 991 gt3 than the .1 991 gt3.
MY2014 was the only 'normal' year
for PTS in that three model year
period. There was a moratorium
on PTS on MY2015 that went almost
to the end, when they built the 30
late allocations in 'Signal Green',
'Arena Red Metallic' & 'Fashion Grey'.
And there no PTS allowed in the
MY2016 .1 991 gt3! To do better
in PTS than with the .1 991 gt3 is
a pretty easy prediction to make!

cost losing a wine bet with my
friend Andre. This V180 purgatory
is a dubious strategy by PCNA which
could turn out really bad for them.
By basically allowing everyone to
take a PTS number at the service
counter and dragging this out from
July 18th to the present (mid-Oct),
it creates an impression among their
US customers that Porsche will indeed
deliver the PTS goods to anyone that
asked. Does that comport with past
experience with PTS at Porsche? No.
That is why what PCNA has done with
this v180 purgatory is so odd...and
notice that no other Porsche market
has followed them in this practice.
Customers deal with outright rejection
(e.g. no PTS soup for you!) much easier
than with this drawn-out affair that
appears to promise something but
perhaps under-delivers big-time!
That 'fail' will create much more
resentment in the long run than
if folks would have been told early
on that the US will only get say 50
PTS slots & these are already taken.
This would have allowed them to choose
another offered color & move on! Now,
I hate to see what happens if even 10%
of those on Andre's list get rejected!
The only out for them now is if 100% of
those on the US V180 PTS list gets that
coveted option! And this could happen
if PCNA forces PAG to honor this implied
committment by PCNA to deliver PTS to
all its US customers that asked for it!
On the face of it, PCNA holds many cards.
It's a large market. Their wishes should
be listened closely by PAG in Zuffenhausen.
It would be a pretty bold move by PCNA...
basically create this 'problem' for PAG if
they don't cave & supplied their PCNA customers
the PTS they want & are willing to pay
for (even the extra $ of the price increase).
If they pull it off, I would be impressed &
sing their praises! But if this gamble explodes
in their faces & PAG only approves a small
% of those on V180 'purgatory', there will
be 'hell' to pay!

My order changed to V180
Grigio Telesto
However, the request of painted key was denied.
As for now, I have standard wheel, still debating whether I should add black wheels and LED headlight. Any advice ?
