Thanks. Friday evening will be a big trial for me....going to change my spark plugs and coils. Watched a few videos, seems very doable.
Bought all the stuff, had to order some tools as well since I have not historically had much.
I am on the fence about doing the belt in the next few weeks. My son is telling me to have a mechanic do it. We'll see.

For the spark plugs, the only one with any challenge is the front driver's side. A slight angle on the socket is needed. If you do the driver's side first, then you'll be a pro and the passenger side will take minutes. The key with the spark plugs is to take your time, don't strip anything and torque everything carefully.

A 245/40-18 or 245/35-19 is the tallest front tire I suggest as we can start rubbing the fender liner behind the radiators depending on wheel offset and alignment values with anything taller.

If they are OEM 8.5" fronts and 9.5" or 10" rears I generally recommend the OEM 235/35-19 and 265/35-19. 245/35-19 and 275/35-19 also works and will do a better job of filling the wheel well but I personally prefer these sizes on 9" front and 10" rears.

Just had the stock exhaust on my 2.9 replaced with Cayman R mufflers with the Carnewal mod and Fabspeed tips. First impressions are that it's just slightly louder at idle, but throatier under load and has a really nice howl at higher revs. No drone. I didn't want it too loud so I'm happy!

Replaced the coolant reservoir today, with a bit of swearing - there's not much room to work in there. I just cut the bottom hose to get the old one out as I was replacing it while I was in there.

06 Cayman S, 81K miles
Replaced coils and plugs.
Serviced the auto trans, new filter and new fluid. The old fluid was dark grey, who knows how long it was in there...
Differential fluid, sucked some of it out, was nice and clean, topped it off with new fluid. BTW, on the automatics there is no drain! You have to pump the old stuff out...
Car is much quicker/smoother with the new plugs/coils, trans shifts perfect!

Transmission mounts (sagging), engine mount (tired again after about 60k miles), parking brake shoes and springs (shoe material had separated from backing plates on passenger side during my recent rotor change… I guess 19 years and 150k miles = their useful life).
The only disappointing part is that front engine mount. 😕 I’ve replaced it twice now. C’mon Porsche, there’s gotta be a more durable design.
