You couldn't see the mountain, so we avoided the need to stop for photographs, and instead enjoyed the tremendous roads.

Very lucky to be able and do just that... While the touge are nearly endless, just the Wangan and Shuto-ko at night are enough to keep me going sometimes.

i haven’t shot film for a long while. Shortly after a dalliance with Velvia, I bought a Canon 10d and have been digital since.
B&H luckily sells all sorts of 120 film. I have 5 rolls of Porta 400 on order and once I get another film back, I’m sure I will order some Ektar.
then it’s just a matter of finding a lab to process and scan it.
I didn't last long with Velvia, as a I went straight to Fortia...
I miss them both, though Fortia colors were ridiculous sometimes:
For 120, it is possibly cheaper, and faster, to scan yourself?
Here, dev costs 500-and-something yen, and I scan myself with an old Epson in under an hour.
Professional scanning adds days for me...
135 though, I get developed and written straight to CD in under an hour, as DPE process includes scanning as prints these days are of course ink-jet, and not wet.
With pro-democracy protesters all over the city, the usually quick taxi ride to the office took over 90 minutes. It would have been longer, except the driver bluffed his way past both protesters and police lines and drove the wrong way down a number of roads.
Winter in Hong Kong is quite pleasant, clear blue skies, 25C, with a cool sea breeze to blow the smell of tear gas and gun powder away.
The view from my office is OK too - looking at the old Kai Tak airport.
Street parking in Hong Kong is always challenging, though recent months with police engaged elsewhere, HKers have taken to parking anything, anywhere.
Plenty of Porsche in the territory, and a reasonable amount of roads to enjoy.
Shek O, and the Sunday morning run out to Luk Keng for coffee and peanut butter and condensed milk waffles is always a good diversion with an amazing array of cars - everything from pre-War Rolls Royce to Zonda and similar...
I am not usually a fan of dress-up tail lights, but the LED set on a 986 looked OK.

I cannot imagine driving the near MIL-spec Humvee in Hong Kong, and looking at the tires on this one, it seems the owner cannot imagine driving it either.

I still have 2 more rolls of Portra 400 but after that, I think I'll try Ektar 100 as that'll be better suited for day shots.
Certainly smoother!
But, with a modern camera, you should be able to switch at over 1/2000 and the Portra 400 is still pretty neat, but not as good for tight depth of field for sure...

The 987 said it needed an oil change, so it was across town to a new mechanic with a PIWIS and stuff needed.
I've got the filter and oil, but figured I'd get a full check done as well...
I don't get over the North side often, so it was neat to see the Sky Tree - tall!
The mechanic has a shop full of early 911, 964, a 993 GT2, and water-cooled stuff, a friend gets his C4 serviced there, and I liked his business card.
Rather than fight the cross-Tokyo traffic home after picking up the Cayman, I just got in and drove.
North, out the Joban, dicing with the trucks, an R34 GT-R, and an SL with the roof down, hammering along much faster than I was prepared to go.
Nothing quite like a night drive, stopping for an SA dinner and coffee with the truckers...
