Diffuser Arrived!

First off, I pissed off my USPS driver because this box took up all the space in my drivers truck, he said he couldn't believe it lol. I'm surprised that USPS takes packages from EMS this large. But nonetheless it came!

Packaging 10/10

i did not think or expect something from a composite manufacture overseas would put this much effort into packaging but glad they did.

Quality 6.5/10

Now, when I speak of quality, I'm talking about the weave, the quality of the mold that this piece was in. It has some signs of the fabric moving under the infusion process and vacuum, causing a wave here and there. I asked for a matte finish and it appears to be resin only finish. No matte clear. Essentially pulled from the mold, but very clean.

I also changed the mesh after ordering a thicker and nicer honeycomb mesh.

Fitment 6/10

Fitting up to the bumper is no issue, except when working your way from the center out to the sides. It was rough and took massaging. The clips don't seem to want to go in because of the stiff nature of construction. The holes line up for the Torx 30 bits but they needed to be enlarged to get the larger OEM head of each screw through and up to the hole. On the last screws at the further ends, I needed to use longer screws to reach.

Overall rating 7/10

All in all, it does fit but it's by no means of OEM quality. You can't expect that from an overseas manufacturer. It does accomplish what I was looking for. If you want the Vorsteiner diffuser, this is readily available and can be purchased in carbon, gloss or matte. You also can't be afraid to modify, adjust and massage for fitment. Can't be afraid to "make it fit". Let me put it this way, it's not complete trash. Judge for yourself and let me know what you think.

This week I had a few meetings and presentations to give to a couple of OEMs. Luckily, these were close to home up in St. Augustine so I took the family with me. After a few days working and the girls enjoying some sight seeing we packed up and left to head over to the Brumos Collection before heading back home to South Florida.

It was a quiet and rainy Friday morning, we had the entire place to ourselves minus the staff. It was great to reunite with the Brumos X BBi Autosport Pikes peak record holder driven by David Donahue. Enjoy some of the pictures I took!

Those wind deflectors looks sweet! Hopefully BBI decides to do a public release in the future and maybe make a wing delete kit.

Great thread! Were you able to maintain the airbag function after the Recaro seat install?

I had 18 ways previously, but yes I was able to code out the airbag light from the seats being removed, all other airbags should function correctly. Used a PIWIS and some assistance from a local Porsche race shop.

No real updates, just more miles and smiles. A few pictures from a very HOT Saturday morning drive in South Florida.
