Foxwell OBD scanner review

YEA!!
Took a bit of time to find it, but it was fairly obvious, start out in PROGRAMMING then go to STEERING WHEEL Electronics - and there it is. I assume the Launch Control light also works but didn't try that in my garage tonight. What's interesting - the $1,000 Launch X431 Turbo doesn't offer this function. Go figure - at least the one I looked for it with (which had about 2-year-old software on it - the Foxwell software updates are free for life..)
VERY cool.. cost me less than it would have cost to have the local shop hook their PIWIS up to it (they wanted $150 + tax, this cost me $155, no tax, free shipping - direct from Foxwell US - delivered in 3 days.)
And I can confirm - found nothing about calibration for the PDK. Did find and read the PDK fill instructions. Didn't look for battery registration since an '09 Boxster doesn't have that.
I'll be hooking it up to my Cayenne tomorrow and see what it can really do. If it can activate the teardrop function it will be worth the price of admission.

If the NT530 can do PDK calibration, that would be great.....one calibration would pay for itself.

I have the 520 Pro and used the PDK calibration process today successfully on a 2014 Cayman Base. The process ran for about 10 minutes I got a bunch of confirmations at the end for test precondition, calibrating shift rods, clutch calibration, calibration post, calibration post preparation.
I may try to do the PDK fill process next.

bump of an old thread. Does anyone with a NT530 know whether you can activate multifunction steering wheel? I'm trying to do it on a 997. The excel that was provided has a section called "Steering Col. Switch", which I'm guessing the correction area. Please let me know.

There was a big post by @deilenberger that detailed this with a 987, and it can be done there. I don't know if the 997 would be the same (or if it's more similar to a 981, which is not supported as well on the NT530)... but if it's closer to the 987 then you should be able to do that.

hello,
sorry to bump an old thread, i just can`t find an NT530 anymore for sale in EU, only available from US or Uk, but i found they are offering new tool NT 650 with larger display and allready multi branded, before it was only one manufacturer in NT530, has anyone used it? I`m worried about ordering one and it will not do all the things mentioned here on forum.

I am interested in the Foxwell GT60 but I have not seen any feedback on this model. Foxwell lists it as compatible with Porsche as well as most other major manufacturers, which is a big plus for my needs. Has anyone seen the GT 60 in action?
