I have a 2009 Boxster base PDK. I added the flappy paddles wheel to it (sport option wheel), which was an option in 2010. There are lighted indicators in the spokes for "Sport" Mode and "Sport Plus" and "Launch Control". The wheel works fine - but the lighted indicators don't light up. I know someone who claimed to have enabled these lights at a dealer using a PIWIS. My question is - is this capability available with the Foxwell?

If your Cayman is manual this might not be an option. But curious if it is. I have no idea what module it would be in, but possibly something like the steering wheel module, or instrument cluster, or if PDK perhaps the transmission control module.

Thanks!
I'll try to look this weekend. My Cayman is stored for the winter so I haven't been in it for a while.

Adding steering wheel light activation would be appreciated too!

Got a nice new shiny NT530. On my 09 Cayman S (with PDK), it does show a fill mode for the PDK, but does not seem to support the PDK clutch calibration.

Default Sport/Sport Plus - Foxwell N530

YEA!!

Took a bit of time to find it, but it was fairly obvious, start out in PROGRAMMING then go to STEERING WHEEL Electronics - and there it is. I assume the Launch Control light also works but didn't try that in my garage tonight. What's interesting - the $1,000 Launch X431 Turbo doesn't offer this function. Go figure - at least the one I looked for it with (which had about 2-year-old software on it - the Foxwell software updates are free for life..)

VERY cool.. cost me less than it would have cost to have the local shop hook their PIWIS up to it (they wanted $150 + tax, this cost me $155, no tax, free shipping - direct from Foxwell US - delivered in 3 days.)

And I can confirm - found nothing about calibration for the PDK. Did find and read the PDK fill instructions. Didn't look for battery registration since an '09 Boxster doesn't have that.

I'll be hooking it up to my Cayenne tomorrow and see what it can really do. If it can activate the teardrop function it will be worth the price of admission.

Do these have the ability to disable/enable TPMS?

Yeah, indeed!

Foxwell NT530 ODB scanner and coder on order here then...
Brilliant, and thanks for the efforts.
Hopefully, my 2009 Cayman S responds the same!

You didn't try the launch control light check in the garage?
Sensible person too I see...

Thanks!

I took a very quick look this AM and didn't see this, but it could be in a menu I didn't get to.

Did this today and found that programming isn't enabled on the 958 series Cayenne. It is on the 955/957 series. I imagine a future software update will add this ability. Surprisingly to me - there isn't programming available for the 981 series either.

Yes. Upgrade software. I upgraded software at FoxAssist website on my NT 510 Elite in Nov. 2020 when I opened the box. It reads my 991.1S, my 981S and wife’s 958.2.

Buried in the Foxwell site is an .xls with a menu overview, and you should be able to see / download it from here.
Note too of course, it includes all applicable Porsche models, and you will need to filter on 987.
Ping me here if we would like the details loaded...

Yes - it READS all of those (and my software was installed on Saturday, it's the mostest currentest version) but it doesn't PROGRAM all of these. It will not program the 981 or your wife's 958.

Tried this with a new NT530 I just got and didn't have these options. Updated to the latest version still don't have these options on my 2014 Cayman S.
I can get into DME, but Special Functions is not under ECU information. And under special Functions I don't have an option for Vehicle Data.

Any ideas?

^ I should check this tomorrow.. I have a NT530 (or is it a 520?) and I KNOW I have read the overrevs in the "special functions" menu on my 997 turbo.
I SEEM to recall not finding it when hooked up to my 981 CS.

I will try to confirm tomorrow..

Sorry, this was on my 987.2, I’m not sure about the 981.
