This car is registered to attend the Werks Reunion at Amelia Island on March 3, 2023. Anyone interested is more than welcome to give this car a very detailed look. More pics will be added to Instagram @1994_Porsche_968 in the coming days. I took some undercarriage pics while it was being service last week as well and will post those. Original steering wheel and clock is included as well.
This very car was featured on a YouTube Rennthusiast video. You can search that. That video was done prior to my ownership of car but it peeked my interest in the 968 and when I began my search for one it just happened to be listed. I have multiple classic Porsches and have my eye on a couple of other cars so wouldnt mind moving a car or two out. Very hesitant to sell because you just never see these cars out. That is the very reason I chose this car to take to The Werks Reunion....just never see them. If you are serious about purchasing a 968 and have questions....feel free to email me. I will answer as my schedule allows. I rated car as a #3 but it really falls more in line with a #2.

I would happily pay you $500 to swap passenger seats. Same color, similar patina. My car is a 1994 coupe.
Send me a PM if interested.
Thanks,

If you are into production details this car is pretty neat. It is one of 3 North American coupes with option XG8 which was painted rear spoiler. It was the precursor to the regular production option 595 painted rear spoiler. For XG8 cars they had to be pulled from the production line to have the rear spoiler painted. Note from the window sticker they charged $208 for this option. When they made it a regular production option the cost was increased to $213. There were only 3 NA 968 coupes produced with the exclusive painted rear spoiler option before February of 1992. It became a regular production option in March of 1992 which 412 968s received. My yellow coupe has option 595. The Matador does not have it.

Just completed this task....IMHO dropping the rear suspension is the hardest part - not so much dropping but getting it back in place. The rest is time based and not hard at all particularly if you have the manual parts to swap out.

I totally forgot about pedals. I was looking at it from a turbo build standpoint. Have transaxle, torque tube, shift rod and shifter.........then it hit me.

There are a few more parts needed on this swap that dont seem obvious like the pedals, clutch slave/master and hard/soft lines, speedo cluster, trans mount, reverse light wiring, bell housing, all clutch components, extension shaft, torque tube, including rare flywheel (or change to S2 system with balancer), the rear 2 muffler system has a different part number as well and suppose it has slightly different bend that the naked eye cant pickup??

Not too shabby for a six speed cab.... Better get on it before Lart or LA Dismantlers spy it.

So what did you guys think of this Japanese Import 968? Went for $26.5K. I think it is a sharp looking car, would get a lot of attention at an event me thinks.
