Hi Jeff, I am writing to you because you have been noted to be the guru of 968. I am having a curious problem with the RI DMV. It appears that different departments within the DMV have documented slightly different VIN's for my 1993 968.
the Vin on my door jam reads WPOAA2963PS820480 with the 3rd character looking like the letter O, not the number 0 like the last digit is. However the VIN plate on the windshield column and the bill of sale from Inskip Porsche show all 0's as digits (which I suspect is correct).
Do you know which woild be the correct vin and why the vin on the door jam appears to be a letter O?
    Thank You,
    Bob

    Jeff,
I see you are a wizard with 968s. I wonder what you can tell me about this car.
It has just come up for sale and I happen to have worked with the owner in the past. He is the original owner.

    Hi Jeff,

Relatively new to rennlist as a member but been following the forum for some time. I just picked up by first Porsche matter of fact, as I'm a long time BMW enthusiast.

I've seen you on a few threads I've visited, specifically the Rubystone Red 968. I actually own a Japanese/European Spec 968 that's original Rubystone Red, but partially repainted to match a few years ago. To top it off, it's rocking an Arktech Motorsports bodykit (popular JDM racing com company in early 2000s that's also mentioned in plenty of threads here).

I was hoping to get your perspective and valuation on it, as I unfortunately don't have any room between my BMW and Ferrari. I've talked to a few folks but since you've been in the market for one specifically, I'd love to hear your input. If you like it, happy to discuss, but figured it might be outside your purist/OEM preference (assumptive).

Do you have an email/cell for easier contact/image sharing?

    Hi Jeff,
    I am from Italy.
I have just purchased a 968 cuopè in Coral Red.
I assume that is a very rare color especially in Europe.
Can you please tell me how many 968 have been delivered in Europe or in Italy, where I think the car is unique?
Interior color is in black leather and it's equipped with M220.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Jeff,

I imagine it pretty rare. I'm looking at the light blue 1993 968 m030 that's on the forum from Oxford VA. Lots of track upgrades likely lower the cars value. You have thoughts on that car. It's been on a while. Asking 19,500. He said he would take 15,000, but I'm not quite there.

    Hi Jeff,

Sorry to bother you but it looks like you are the go to guy to help with the list of options and information on a 968 VIN. Mine is POCA2 966 RS840475. This is taken off the sticker under the hood.
