Crank case ventilation comes from the oil filler neck and goes back to the intake. It is a rubber hose that comes from the oil filler neck and ties to the intake manifold.

Yes, it's the center hose that connects to the top of the throttle. Older 968s had a little spring loaded check valve in that hose, while later 968s had just a straight hose with no check valve. And the only hose available from Porsche is the straight one with no check valve.

OK - thanks guys. I purchased the complete 968 workshop manual set in anticipation of this project and it hasn't been much use yet. It is nowhere near as comlete as the 928 WSM. I thought maybe mine was just missing pages.

I just checked my copy and there is nothing specific about the air-oil seperator or crank case breather in there at all.

It's probably in the 944 book. The 968 book doesn't have everything by itself.

Yes, you need to have both manuals, not just the 968 one in order to get everything.

Default First pictures of the install

I'm breaking with my policy here and showing some early pics of the work-in-progress.

The head unit is mounted, the belts are on and tensioned. The AC fiunctions, the hood closes. Still a long way to go, but it does tend to get easier from this point.

Enjoy!

I understand the working prototype is a few steps away, but it seems to me like you addressed the fundamental problem that kept previous tuners from successfully supercharging 968s while retaining factory comfort.

Knowing what you've already done with supercharged 928 tuning, looks to me like the most daunting challenge is now dispensed with.

Regards,
Chris

We ran it this morning to confirm belt tracking, and she runs good. No vibrations, mounts are strong and tight. No rattles, no rubbing.

Next step now will be the air inlet and outlet tubing.

To get the supercharger mounted low enough to clear the hood, you see we tucked it behind the radiator a little bit. The OEM twin-fan will be replaced with one modern "puller" fan behind the radiator and a "pusher" in front. These will be supplied in the kit.

Interesting indeed, looks like a very tight fit
What's the target price and target power increase?
