I'll bet Carl will get the kit done faster if he doesn't have to answer myriad questions going through the design process-he apparently has some talent at this, from the 928 guys-let him get the job done then the gallery can ask away.

I was thinking exactly the same thing...That way, it might get done faster . Then he can answer all the ???? ...

Different type of air measurement S2 vs. 968. Also different kind of inlet manifold, etc...
Just too bad this kind of kit could not be easily made street legal in Finland... :S NO! I rephrase: Could not be CHEAPLY made street legal.

Do you seriously think that taking 15min a day to answer legitimate questions is out of line, or will hinder the 'design-process'

Perhaps it is still an unknown until he gets to the tuning stage.
If there is interest in the kit at this stage with nothing on the table,
I am sure those that are "truly" interested will be inline once the prototype goes to the production phase.

I am hesitant just yet to nail my feet to the floor by predicting how I am going to bring the supercharged 968 into tune.
We will be better able to discuss that once the head unit is mounted and I begin the tuning phase.
We already know that among our several goals for this kit is low cost and ease of installation. So I can say that there is a reluctance on our part to add EPROMS, chip burners, and piggy-back systems unless I have exhausted more traditional, cheaper, and simpler methods.
I do tend to favor the uses of a dual-adjustable FMU in most of our budget kits. Dollar-for-dollar, a good FMU gives the individual installer flexabilty and adds fuel in response to boost very well.
So, if my crystal ball is working, I would at this point hope that I can get a good safe tune with an FMU alone at up to 6 pounds of boost, and if not, we will add a set of larger injectors to the FMU. That really should do it. But if not - we'll see what else might be needed.
Right now, the more immediate questions are those of the space envelope, and how to mount the SC head and save the air conditioner - a feet that to this point, has not been done by any commercial kit builder thru the 944 series of cars.

Sounds good to me!
The only problem I see with using this kit on an S2 is the AFM (instead of the 968's MAF). The intake manifold is different but the throttles are the same and in roughly the same location.

In any case, I can be patient -- you 968 guys are just the guinea pigs for the development of the ultimate S2 kit...

Thank you for your patience. I will go as quickly as I can. I would like to have the product out for sale this summer season, but I have to have time to test it first.
