Excellent. Borys or Riff: if your S2 is 1989-92, and you want to be supercharged, please arrange with us for an installation in late August or September. Then we can install it, tweak any bracket or item that need to be a little different than the 968, and take plenty photos for the installation manual.
I'd like your car for 1 week. Enough time to dyno it (baseline), supercharger it, write the manual about it, and re-dyno it finished.

Wow, just read this entire thread...this looks amazing, hats off to Carl
If the kit will fit a 944S2, then I assume it would fit a 944S3 too? (944 w/968 motor swap)
Again, great work on this kit. Great HP for the money.

Carl- slightly off topic maybe, I am planning on doing some typical 968 scheduled maintenance in preperation of possible installation of your kit. I need to do the WP and belts and while I am in there wanted to ask you if you had any recomendations for anything else to inspect / replace. I want to make sure she is ready for the added boost.
I have a post asking the same to all but wanted to jump it here too... I simply want to make sure the top end is solid. Cheers, Mike

If my S3 will submerge from the garage one day and the 250hp ain't enough we might see a Carl's installation in Finland...

I have this in mind as well -- the only issue I see is how to get air, which should be minor (the S2 gets air from under the nose panel, on a 944 you'd have to cut an opening to fit a pipe to it.)

This will be interesting to see whether it fits the S2 (or S3) - the supercharger is quite high and although 968 looks slicker at the nose the clearance between valve cover and hood is not as much as in 968 and when you go further down the hood towards the radiator it gets worse. I belive 968 does have more clearance between radiator and the engine - or then it's just optical illusion.
Be that as it may but Carl has done absolutely fantastic job and at ~$5k (~3.4k€) it's really a no-brainer!!
To the people who complain about the performance:
- That's a stock engine
- That's stock FPR (isn't it) ?
- That's stock injectors
- No intercooler
By changing the head gasket, putting in bigger injectors and pumping up the fuel pressure it'll crank some more... and eventually will live propably shorter life?
I don't know about the LH-Jetronic chips but I do know that some aftermarket S2 chips (especially if used with '91 S2 DME) do not always listen to the knock sensor and can thus damage the engine.. So chip 'em with care.

Most of the parts are now in stock, just waiting now on the primary supercharger bracket to come in.
In the meantime, we have located an aluminum flywheel and performance clutch for the 968 that we will have on our site soon, and we have also finished the webpage about the supercharger kit:

The lightweight debate for the 968 has been tossed around before with mixed conclusions. I had one in my 911 and it was a blast. I would love to see it in the 968... +2 on the clutch / flywheel setup.
cheers, Mike
