Interesting! I don't think I ever saw that one... shop just came up w/ idea. That one for sure has a bit more meat on it.

Question: You know those frunk braces people are using... worth it? Not welded, bolted...

Worth it on a full race car. Not so much on the street. Plus, the problem with bracing is that on front end impact, the more bracing, the more destroying of the chassis. So if you did the full x brace in the front, and then had even a light tap to the nose, you will twist the entire tub. So it's a terrible idea unless you are racing against a competitive group of equally prepared cars where 1/100th of a second means something.

Or....just never crash. Lol.

Personally - i like as much stiffening as possible - because then you are left with just the suspension taking care of the handling. I like the directness and the feel. Street or track. But...I'd never do this on a street car for the reasons above. Getting hit on the street is too common. No need to lose the car over a fender bender.

Good find Goughary! I still remember went those posts were new. Geoffery, what a super smart and resourceful guy!

I wish all the images were still available in his threads: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...ed-thread.html

I'd love to see more of his GT2 Evo front, in cockpit adjustable, blade style sway bar set up.

You can use the Internet archives link to get that can't you?

There is a website you put in a url and you can see what was there years ago

Where did you source?[/QUOTE]
had my windows doors second hand but DP sales them, going next for carbon kevlar doors and Vitaloni mirrors.

why did you chose to change to the GT3 mufler set up ?
I was guessing 41.5 mm down pipes are right, 44mm may be too big loosing power or torque ...

Nice spoiler by the way !
I am piking up a special from Getty next week , a 993 RS wing and 964 lid in carbon.

I have no doubt for a street car that the improvement is profound over what it was. Sounds great looks like it has no problem getting out of its own way. Very nice. Although we know you will find something else to tweak.

Geoffrey's car was amazing way over the top and far more advanced than the 3.8 RSR's I had seen. I spent an afternoon at his house with Ilko and his attention to detail was impressive to say the least. I was stunned when he sold it. I know the current owner. I hope to see it again one day. When I was told what it changed hands for I wanted to cry. I would have snagged it in a heartbeat if I knew. Loud as can be though.

Picked up car today. Will go tear up the canyons this weekend then bring it back for a nut bolt and checkout.
So first issue is i turn on lights and clock stops working and doesn’t light up. Get home pull it and find a broken trace. Jumped it and resoldered all the connections. Shop didn’t have clock out so not sure what caused that. Age i suspect. There were no burn marks.

drove car up and down pch this afternoon a few thoughts
ac works good. So does heat.
Car has a nice raspy growl. Exhaust is not that loud
the lwfw is awesome. So revvy. Like my gt3rs kinda.
With ac on installed it once after 2 hours of driving.
Car feels super agile and light.
It’s plenty quick.
Front end has massive grip
no bump steer at all
the kw feel very nice. Shop spent some time adjusting them
i have a fair amount of mechanical noise in the cabin. Just enough for me. It adds to the visceral feel when pushing it
when cruising with windows up you hear the trans thanks to the hard rubber trans mount and minimal sound deadening
Csr feels much stronger pulling
gets a lot of looks hahahha

working to get on Steve wongs schedule to tune the car hopefully next week

its
great to have it back!

Nice soldering job Chris!

Congratulations on the build . . . I'm going to miss the periodic updates.

Looking forward to seeing it (and you of course) soon.
