We are making a few tweaks to the rear cage. Keep in mind this is more of a harness bar than a full roll cage, but it will add safety and allow use of harnesses on track.
This is a bit of a balance of some usable space in the back, but adding some chassis stiffness, and some safety.
Front hoop will pull a little bit forward, but it won't be fully tied to the B pillar, it will be welded to the chassis up near the window.
Rear mounts will attach at the shock towers with plates.
The rear X lower cross bars will drop down and also attach at the shock tower
Rear section will be spaced out a bit more.
We're using 1 3/4 tubing for front hoop and drops to rear shock towers. Rest is 1 1/2.
Pulling the bar fully to the B like on a race car requires additional bends and you lose OEM belt mount and OEM headliner mounts become an issue.
Complete as in "relatively" complete....
I am starting the sunroof delete now -
As complete as any of these are. They are living beasts!
I talked with the fabricator this AM and he is considering something like what you've done to tie it more directly to the B pillar. Unfortunately wanting OEM headliner, some clearance, OEM belt connection means other compromises... pros and cons to each.
