More of you guys need to move on beyond C&C and get some real use of these things. :-)
They're happier.
And I guarantee YOU will be happier.

During the summer before I bring the car in for the rest of the work, I want to do some AX - too hot for track days once it gets over 100 - all our tracks outside laguna are in the desert - last will be 5/20 I think at button willow until the fall. I have 6 days scheduled in my RS too.

And passenger side heat mix servo replaced and working. Now to tackle that heat box in the back.... Will have to wait. RS needs a cleaning and track prep including new friction rings and pads all around. Have a 3 day private event coming in a week.

I just received my keyless kit from Bergvill FX today. Looks straightforward, but I looked and I am not able to get access to the under seat wiring harnesses just by sliding the seat. And it appears before I bought it someone has stripped the allen keys on 2 of the bolts holding the seat down. Did you have to pull your seat to access the harnesses?

Any bright ideas short of drilling to remove stripped allen keys? :-/

I pulled my seat. I replaced my seat hardware with grade 12 Allen bolts the sockets are much stronger than the factory bolts.

Try a new hex bit first if that fails a reverse drill bit.

964 just got a good wash and wax yesterday. Cleaned it up after the chuckwalla track day.
Spent Saturday putting new brakes (new friction rings and pads all around) all around on the rs, under carriage and wheel well detailed cleaning, suspension inspection, bleeding brakes, wash, wax, detail. Now ready to get dirty this weekend!

I pulled my seat, too. Those bolts are soft so make sure you're using a good allen wrench. I used a quality allen socket and tapped it in place to make sure it was seated. If that doesn't work, you may want to try a torx bit that just a bit larger in size. If all else fails, get a set of easy-outs. That should work well in this application.

Today is ABS pump replacement day. I've a used take off. Hope it works. Pulling the pump isn't bad, maybe 30 minutes. But my ocd gets me and I start cleaning. Assembling shortly. Bleed cycle pump and test. Hope it works :-) this race brake fluid is spendy.

Pressure bleeding while cycling the pump pushed a lot of air out of the system. Took 2 full 500ml bottles (1L total) to bleed it.

And we have success while using the ABS tester. Where before the wheel would release, lock, and not release again, this time it releases and cycles (you can feel the pulse in the brake pedal).

Time to go test on street :-)

Update seems to work. Slam on brakes little chirp and pulsing pedal and car stops.

Sweet!

Ok well this seemed to work. I have Michaels abs tester which is a great tool.
https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...-to-order.html

--replaced abs pump
--ignition on, abs tester connected
--wheels off and car on jack stands
--fill up reservoir
--hookup motive bleeder pump to 10lbs
--start in right rear, open inner bleeder valve on caliper
--go to abs tester start the pump, open valves, and switch the locks, do this several times
--turn off pump and set all switches to normal
--go back to caliper and watch massive amounts of air bleeding. Close valve when it stops
--bleed outer valve (no air in that one)
--fill up reservoir
--repeat process for left rear, then right front, then left front
--i also went around the car once more

I'm pretty sure cycling the pump is needed as when I did a lot more air came out of the system.

Car feels good, abs is now working but I'll bleed it again in a couple weeks. Pedal is firm but feels like might be a tick of air in it still. I'll also do a manual bleed to purge the master cylinder

Today is little thing day.
Finally got the 2 stalk column switch without the cruise option. Took 2mo to get from Germany You could modify a 3 stalk one but it will require drilling out some rivets to do it.
Also my recirculate switch popped out so got a new one to install. The rest of the panel looks good. Ac has a bit of minor peeling so the ocd in me is wanting to replace it too :-) but I won't until it breaks.

96461334601 - this is 2 stalk no headlight washers
96461334301 - this is 3 stalk no headlight washer with cruise control

There are 5 or so different switch mechanisms available. Was happy I got the right one.

Now I need to locate the proper bottom half of the column trim!
