Wife had this printed at work. It's about 4ft x 6ft. Those planks are about 9" wide. HUGE lol. Will look good on the garage wall.

Update!

Finally getting the will to finish the "phase 1" out - so car is going into the shop in a week or so to get the rear cage welded in (yes welded, i'm committed!), safety equipment, lwfw/clutch, a few body bits, oil cooling, and a list of about 50 other things. Car will look mostly the same. Well except for a rear RS wing. Need my aero for the track. Going to get another set of hinges so I can keep it tail-less easily.

QUESTION: I'm going to be removing all the sound deadening and installing RS carpet kit. I have already taken the foam off the rear deck. I will be installing a thinner sound pad on the inside of the motor bay, and I have a thicker one from AppBiz for the inside rear deck.

I will put some sound material on the floors and tunnel. I don't really want to car too much road-noise loud. I know singer uses some jet materials...

Anyone have any suggestions for some light, easyish to work with sound deadening material to install on the floor-boards, and trans tunnel?

Thanks!

I removed all sound deadening material, but I have the better of the two appbiz engine pads. Heat is more of an issue than road noise. I find the level of noise to be very tolerable. No one in my car has ever complained actually.

Check out these guys below, I am redoing my interior and was looking for an under padding. David Etter recommended these guys.

http://www.lobucrod.com/

Price is fair, 5mm. Only thing is this has to be glued in....I have been looking at 10mm closed cell with peel and stick backing as well.

No affiliation with above and I have not tested it yet. Done enough reading and many use this for their builds.

wow .. lots of fun to catch up with this epic!

just a warning re closed cell foam .. it doesn't do much by itself although one imagines it will
.. the OEM combo of open cell, Hi mass vinyl (hmv) and felt works as there is a variation in densities.
I would use 2 or 3 of the dynamat products (or similar) that in combo will help.

I just did the bitumen layer in my car which helped (and weighs much less than stock) then added closed cell foam - lots of work with glue etc.. - and it had minimal impact though it does help make the substrate for the carpet nice and smooth. Would have used some HMV and felt too if I'd known.

space ball interior

the 356 guys use this stuff .. also looks very good (no affil)

Cool appreciate the pointers. Will be doing some more research on this topic. I know many, many have BTDT with this!
