Those numbers are a bit optimistic. You might try weighing some like the rear wiper and passenger airbag for some they don't weigh as much as you think. Still a great start.
Possibly, i'm not weighting each piece, I looked at some older threads for the estimates, just updated a few which were probably optimistic.
Anyone for an over/under on end weight with 1/2 tank of gas?

IIRC when I weighed my passenger air bag it was 6 pounds and the rear wiper was 4. Rear speakers are a pound to pound and a half apiece at most. Rear seat backs are 12 pounds for the later style 11 for the earlier.
Believe you me I wish it was that easy to strip weight out of the car. You also have to consider what replaces it and how much is added back. If you stripped 75 pounds instead of 95 it is still a significant improvement especially when it is stuff that is sitting high in the car.
On the pic above, I notice the washer is on inside of strut? I just installed Bil Hd with same type mount profile and put back OEM washer on outside .... No washer from strut to arm? Shouldn't make a difference, correct?
Also, who is Joey? Is this Joey from OC that worked for BBI?

I've no idea on the washer...
Yes, Joey Seely from e-Motion Engineering, he was with BBI and late last year opened a small specialty shop in Anaheim.

The brass piece that I think you're calling a "washer" is part of the KW strut bushing.
There is a separate washer between the Bolt and the strut located on the outside, which is difficult to see in the Spyrex's pic.

Reason: Fixed quoting
The idea on the washer is if the bush on the end of the damper fails, the washer will keep the strut from falling off the arm, preventing a catastrophic failure of the car's rear suspension.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense. It's been a while since I looked at mine so I couldn't remember how big the washer was. I couldn't tell from Spyrex's pic if a washer was present or not.
