It too is having the same issues of connecting. I''m wondering if having something other than oem causes the lengthy connection time. I would like to purchase a diagnostic tool that is able to do the ABS/PDAS bleed but worried about not being able to connect.
I’m running a Steve Wong chip. At times, I have the same fun connecting with Scantool. I’m not sure the Durametric is worth the PDAS bleed addition, even it if works.

Thanks John for your input and opinion on the Durametric. I suppose I'll have to learn the manual method of bleeding the PDAS or find a "cheap" Bosch Hammer haha

I just purchased the UDT999 diagnostics tool for my 964. It connects quickly to all modules and is supposed to be able to bleed both locks on my C4. I will know soon as I need to do a complete bleed of all hydraulics.

Rennlister, Spokes, uses that. He seems happy with it

Scantool. It has an adaptation function and can show the position of the IDLE and WOT micro switches. It also shows no errors. I’m not sure which system to believe.

WOT on

IDLE on

No PDAS errors

No Climate Control errors.

In recent month’s I’ve seen so many parts of the 964 that I’ve never seen before. Which is awesome, but I’m really looking forward to your road trip adventures. What’s the first trip planned with the car?

We have a group of nine drivers planning to do a 3 day road trip in May. It will have a bit of everything with winding coastal roads, high passes and fast back roads. One 964 owner appears to have an offer on his car so we expect him to take his Cayman. That leaves us with three 964s (C4, C2 and T3.3) a 911T and a SC. Tagging along will be a

Cayman, 997.1, 944T and RS60 Spyder.

I seem destined to repair everything on this car. The clutch is a delight to use but I’ve just noticed turning left produces a rotational metallic squeaking sound from the front wheel. I suspect my wheel bearing is gone. I’m lucky a local rennlister has the bearing puller and will let me borrow it.

Feels the same here. Just replaced my catalytic converter, only to discover that the previous cat and heat exchanger had been modified, so the new cat doesn't fit. Now I need to replace the left ($$$) heat exchanger.....

That sucks. Hopefully you can get a good spare. There must be a few out there.

I attached a GoPro to the car and turned left.

It sounds more like a sticking brake piston but why would a left turn make a difference?

Update, it appears that it’s a sticking brake caliper piston. I need to replace the seals.
