Now....those of you that know me know I'm the first person to say to remove the engine pan...

But winter is coming, and so all this spraying of fluid film is making me want to winterize further by adding back my pan...so here it is:

I'm going to live with it for a bit and see how much I hate it this winter...

You slimed it, Ghostbusters ... In those temps, cover may make sense in winter. Mine has been hugging a wall in garage since '96 after trip to see J. Woods and Bruce...

Congrats on great thread!

Yeah. Out here you can't even reliably check the oil in the middle of winter...so the belly pan is fine once the temp drops, so long as your front oil cooler works...

Finally getting to some details on my car. Goo yesterday and the day before...and today I removed the acoustic baffles in my door panels. Added sound deadening on the driver panel outer skin ( left the passenger alone cuz I ran out of time . I'll get in there someday. )

But- for those of you that have never taken off the door panel...super easy...here are some pics of the process. Takes 5/10 mins to take the panel off if you are a turtle...

And finally..

Then put it all back in reverse...I installed a new vapor barrier that I bought from sunset, honestly, it's made for effectively all 911s, not sure if they don't make the 964 specific one anymore, but this barely fits, and requires cutting, so I may source some other type of heavy plastic and make my own in the future.

All done:

Looks like he may just drive it this winter...so let's see. I'd love to correct it. Good base for a great car.

If you are still looking, I'm working on a good guards red c4 that could be yours...

No- we used peel and seal roofing material you find at Home Depot or lowes. I was skeptical but it actually worked incredibly well. Does a better job than the oem foam...and way way cheeper than dynamat.

In other news:

This is the link to that tshirt above...

Forgot to post that.

The Alabama car came back...rear struts were making some noise over bumps...

So rebuilt the struts in the way I did Aja...with custom spacers and 993 RS upper perches and oem 997 foam buffers...
