Makes sense. My car is fast approaching 30K miles. I'm hoping it doesn't lose $30K in value when the odometer goes from from 29,999 to 30,000!

Technically cars are average 12-15k a year, so anything less is really considered low mileage (at least for the model/year).

Lately we have seen some low mile examples. Although how can one tell for sure? Some of these cars are not what they appear. It used to be a true 60k was considered a relatively low mile example. That number is probably closer to 40k these days. But how well maintained a car is should really determine its value. Although if the paperwork says 10k or less the sky is the limit for some even 20k. Although whatever the miles the cost to keep a 30 year old car tip top is the same driven or not.

GP White/black ‘92 C2. Canadian-market example with sport seats and showing 23k miles. No price listed. Did Canadian-market cars not have the speedo/odometer in kilometers or was that changed? Remember this one was on Autotrader a couple months ago by a private seller for $170k.
