1991 Porsche 911 c2

Thought it would move quick. Interesting how the opportunists come out when the market is hot.

$149k for an RS America, is that right or am I missing something!
After all it's not an RS in the European sense of an RS is it, it's just a slightly lightened C2 is it not.

Do you think $42.5K is too much for this 964? Even though the car's is close to mint condition, I was thinking $38K (give or take $1K) would be a reasonable price. Any input here would be appreciated.

Unfortunately in today's car market when a car becomes a "classic", or an
"emerging classic" a "reasonable price" no longer applies, whatever a person is willing to pay becomes the norm......

i was about to say something similar. we're seeing this right now with the 964 and 993 markets and desire (to own) is setting the market. with opportunities becoming rarer and harder to come by - especially for the 964 - it's a matter of who wants to pay what to 'get in' now. i bought a '93 RSA, with 29k miles, for $34.5k many years ago - it's crazy to think what that would be worth now. interestingly, that was still a time when the RSA was viewed as a poseur 'lightweight' and not really worthy. how times have changed!!! wish i had stashed that sucker away! anyway, what Earlydays said is true, desire to own and a willingness to pay a price is the market now. it's supply and demand on multiple cans of red bull.

i just wish i could have my RSA back...

It is true, there have indeed been sales in the one and a half range.
These are becoming portfolio cars. They have unique vin# which is important because one could build one from a C2. I wonder if the true delete cars will gain more status as a pecking order is bound to develop within the RSA gaggle. A sunroof/AC/Radio delete with LSD should be on top.
But still, a $150....
