Our friend selling the car has had two in the same color on BaT. I don't see the fuss about this car compared to the junk that has recently sold there. The car was clearly a driver that someone picked up cheap and reworked to like new condition. The rear bumper sections have a tendency to sag over time from heat. This is quite common. My 83k mile C4 had a serious sag but no rear end damage. The issue is when the sag is constant across the back vs this which is sagging over the plate area.
The windows out paintwork on that car appears to be quite well done. Something most should be happy with. After all this is a 70k mile driver not a 10k mile collector car. I am more interested in what was done to the engine. Clearly it was disassembled reusing the original parts but how it was done will determine how long the reseal will last. The fact is the early engines do leak eventually the later engines along with the 993 have far less history of oil leaks other than things like oil lines and other none engine related parts of the oiling system.
If the other 90's brought $50k this car should see a min of $65k more like $70k compared to those it would be a bargain.
Unless something has changed the 5% is capped at $5k. A heck of a lot better than the auction houses 10%.

The only additional thing I noticed with the Slate BAT Car is that the carpet is not the same as original, it looks more like a Mercedes carpet not the silverknit used by Porsche. Technically the Porsche carpet isn’t the greatest however if one is looking for a more original restoration the carpet would need to be changed. Just an observation and certainly not a deal breaker.

^^^ not sure I see that. Looks to me like the color and pile are consistent with Sliverknit {spelling}.
Cobalt pointed out the Lloyd mats (which in my mind are fine to have protecting what looks to be the originals underneath},... which those Lloyds are what is seen in some of the pics looking straight down on center console.
still,... all things considered, that car should creep up into the mid-high $60's in the next couple hrs...

Really not much of a difference. The 95 is nothing special a 96 Vram is a step up but overall quite similar. As always there are pros and cons to both. Porsche tightened tolerances on the 993 3.6 and it had limited leak issues but not a fan of the hydraulic lifters. The lack of need for a harmonically balanced pulley is nice.

yes it is. The car was my daily driver for the past 5-6 months, never even put it up for sale, but got a really good offer that i couldn't refuse. Doubt i'll ever be able to get one like this again- with the 993 engine it was the perfect daily driver for me, even though i prefer the 964 engine feel, this one was smooth enough to daily drive without any effort. I'll definitely miss those seats too. The good news is i have a C4 rite now and a C2 coming next week, so i'll still have a 964 around to play with.

Hey guys. We have a beautiful Cobalt blue over blue guts Japanese C2 Coupe available if anyone is interested. We are looking for a quick sale, so really willing to hear any serious offers from buyers who know the car and market.
This car was repainted while in Japan, for no reason other than they wanted it perfect, and its a 10/10 on paint. Interior wise its solid, but there are a couple small things that would need addressed if you wanted it perfect. However, if you're looking for a really solid fun car to own and drive, this is perfect.
Let me know if anyone is interested. We have 89k in it, so if you're close to that number lets talk!
