Definitely, the guy I bought mine from literally wanted what the dealer offered him on trade in for a new 991.

For that, I am very thankful to that Porsche dealer

27.5K ask for C4 '93 coupe - has 173K miles. Probably worth what, 18K?

Sounds negotiable.

1993 Blk/Blk Porsche Carrera 4 Coupe - 964 - $27500 (san mateo)
"1993 Porsche 911 Coupe odometer: 173000 paint color : black type : coupe drive : 4wd transmission : manual title status : clean

I'm not sure what it's worth, so I'll take best offer for this rare 93 blk/blk Porsche Carrera 4 coupe (964). The exterior needs a paint job as it's still original with some fading and one dent on the passenger rear fender. The interior is pretty clean, but there is a crack in the dash and the two fronts seats need to be recovered. I just took this car on a small road trip so it's running ok, but the clutch is starting to slip. And yes it does leak some oil. I'll look at any reasonable offer. This car won't last long."

That listings sounds very familiar to the car that was listed in Corona for $16,500 just a couple of days ago. Same year, same color and mileage and C4! Same condition too... hmm.

This one sounds like the one posted here, post #455. Was listed as oil leak which gets on clutch and fading paint, listed for $16.5K. Quick flip.

Wow, that's pretty lame. Douche didn't even bother posting pictures and is pretending to not know what it's worth, when he seems quite informed. Also the "short road trip" sounds like Corona to San Mateo.

All of this 'rare' language kind of cracks me up. True they didn't build many, but I still don't see my trusty C4 as any kind of collector car yet.

While I would love to jump on this even though it's on one end of the country for me and it being a C4. It sounds really sketchy. The leaking oil bit is what bothers me not to mention no pics. Not sure how some folks can buy cars sight unseen. To me I feel it's a nightmare waiting to begin.

Seems to be the exact same one I posted about. Typical flipper "playing stupid" and acting like he doesn't know the market.

Yeah usually "the car won't last for long" doesn't come from a private seller...

with current prices, $12k and $25k of fixing would make it about the corretc price.

the question is can you fix it for $28k.. probably yes but an engine rebuild and full respray is not cheap.
