62500. USD. plus or minus 10g's.
I would counter & say that enough people out there will say that this is absolutely the BEST time of year to BUY that car,... and will bid. Holidays will not deter someone who has been sitting on cash waiting for that "right one".

This will sell for a healthy sum. A clean coupe with 23k miles,... I concur with others & guess it'll land around the $70k mark.

I’m guessing $85K on that BAT 964, it looks very clean.

Only issue is the partial respray which seems odd for a low mileage car.

For you guys watching the 23K 964 on BaT, you need to go back and read some of the recent comments. Also, this car was sold recently,

And although I am not against a flip, maybe there is more to this story. Stay tuned.

Rare color, low miles, missing option sticker & tool kit, Love and hate interior. Love the way it looks but hate how hard it is to keep clean and fresh looking. My guess is this car with some TLC can be a real show stopper to the right buyer. I have seen similar cars minus the paint work command closer to 6 figures with a couple exceeding that by a bit. Will be interesting to see what this brings if the right two people are out there my guess is we might be shocked.

Either someone got a smoking deal the first time or as you say there is a story that’s not being told. When looking at the pictures it does look like a legit 23k mile car based upon the appearance of the trim and interior.

thank you very much for your post,,,, I am looking at this car indeed,,,, I have no problem spending top $$$$ on the right car,,,,and reading the latest comments certainly raise some red flags,,,,initially, my major concern was why a show-quality car which was in a private collection in VT would be for sale in Texas with a "clear" Montana title. Now reading the latest comments and looking more closely at the photos,,, lots of unanswered questions.....

^true. Due diligence is needed here. All of that activity you mentioned is suspicious - need to worry about title scrubbing. Especially since there are questions about a rear quarter panel replacement.

I just looked through all the pictures in more detail and there are some things that bothers me. It definitely does look like the drivers side rear quarter was replaced based upon the welds. Also if you look closely at the nuts/bolts in the engine bay you can see there’s rust and corrosion which makes me think the car was driven in the winter months/salt covered roads. I remember seeing a low mileage 928 with similar corrosion years ago and when you look underneath the corrosion is far more extensive. It will be very interesting to see what the underside looks like when the seller posts more pictures, hopefully just an anomolly. As already mentioned, its missing the underhood stickers too which makes me think the hood was either replaced or resprayed.

None of this is necessarily a deal breaker but it certainly would affect its value if confirmed true.

in the aircooled world it is! Especially on 964/993!
one thing that really pushed me to buy mines is that the previous owners had the cars for 12+ years

A 964 Tip IMHO is worth $2-5000 less than the same car with a manual transmission. From what I've seen as far as manual trans car values (on average): coupes - $38-55k, targas - $32-48k, cabs $24-38k. This is my own casual observations based on my own person search a year ago that ended with my '91 Targa, and just average curiosity on 964's for sale. Exceptional cars are above the average, and should bring above average prices.

The Tips aren't bad, just a better auto trans than a GM or Ford of the same era. I found with the '90 Tip that I had it did best when you kept it in D, hammered the throttle and left foot braked, keeping the rev's up. The 996 and Boxster Tips were a vast improvement, and the PDK is (again IMHO) a leap beyond that and a no brainer "yes" check box.

The market for a tip is a lot smaller. Many languish on the market for many many months. Nice clean straight tip cars tend to sit around a lot.
