This is interesting. No doubt a very unique and rare 964. Very few cars were painted mint green. This could possibly be the 'only' mint green targa in the US. Although mint green was not a PTS color in 92 it was standard.

So what I don't get is at 52k miles what makes this car being a targa worth the asking price or close to it? I could understand if it was a one off PTS and had less than 1000 miles on it. The work done is routine and although the hourly rate is low the hours charged were exaggerated IMO. Also it is odd that such a low mileage car has need of some of the repairs listed.

It is a beautiful and unique example although not everyone likes mint green it is something you rarely see and that adds value no doubt. But if this were a comparable targa in red, black or white what would it fetch? I doubt we would see people running to it for $50k. I admit rare colors can bring premiums but nearly double its value is unlikely.

I do agree a number of things should be done to make this car worthy of placing such a hefty price tag on it. It should be flawless in every way period and if we can tell not everything is perfect from the pictures no doubt I can find more in person. Another thing I don't see is the receipt for the windshield. If it is an OE factory replacement you are talking over 2 grand. vs a Pilkington unit for $455.

Will be curious if this car sells close to it's asking price.

I was the prior owner, not the current one who sold to this dealer you speak of.

I make no predictions of what this example will sell for. All it takes is one.

I am not knocking anyone besides the dealer listing the car.... sorry but "engine totally redone" is a far cry from some gaskets, oil lines and seals.

I don't see a $93k car. Sure there is a premium for the color but not a $40k premium IMO.

This looks like an overall decent 1993 C2 for $53k. The owner sent me a PM recently before listing on CL but I believe the rear fender(s) have been repainted and he didn't confirm paint readings.

Nice looking GPW RSA on BAT sold for $82.9k and actually sold.

Unlike this one that went up to $95k but didn't meet reserve.

I was surprised with how low that RSA sold, it was a great buy at that price. The market might be getting soft but that's expected for this time of year.

Maybe (hopefully) there's $35k in USD in the trunk.
