Interested to see where this ends up.
A similar mileage 5spd Guards Red C4 coupe was on BAT a few weeks ago and sold for $43-44k (which is high, IMO, but two guys ran up the price by like $7-8k as the auction expired). This one looks to be a bit more neglected despite similar mileage.

What's up with the "faulty tire pressure monitor"? A TPMS on a 1990 964 running 16" D90 wheels? Must be aftermarket (and a strange modification...).

Link to similar car on BAT a few weeks ago.

You'd think for $93k they could at least fix the front spoiler vents. I realize its a desirable color but if they want top top dollar they should really do the rest of the work to make the car a top dollar car.

Listing says "engine entirely redone" .... Paperwork says Chain housing and valve cover gaskets, some belts and some oil lines..... hmmm?

Yeah I remember it. It looked to be a typical semi-neglected southern Florida 964 in a unique color. I understand collectors go crazy over these Mint colored cars but this example is far from a $93k collectors piece. Too many miles, wrong suspension, paint/rust work, wrong radio etc...

Incorrect on all accounts. This was my car and I know the shop that did all the work. The big money has been spent. The market will determine the final price.

Ok, so they spent $15k in July '15 (1,400 miles ago). Why not go the extra mile & spend a few more $$ on door sills, steering wheel, frunk weatherstripping, rim road rash. Since this was your car, we can assume you gave "cavalinojf of Beverly Hills" a stack of receipts from the prior 20 years, which they should at least show a picture of. And so you are right, market will dictate whether a Targa sells at this level or not. If it does, then all the predictors of a cooling market are wrong. Time will tell.

How am I incorrect?

The listing says motor entirely redone. The paperwork shows some gaskets, oils line and some other bits.

Typically when an engine is totally redone it implies a top to bottom rebuild.

Are we missing something?
