Wow, talk about difficult. The drone plates are on there very good. I think I will try dry ice next.
Just use a heat gun. Helped me a lot. Came right off.

My LHS tub was clean under the drone plate. Got myself a MIG on sale over the weekend. Will probably use big mirror to see what I'm doing cause going under is bit scary.

Definitely better option than ice. Was thinking that I might not even need the ice this week as temperatures will bottom out around -30C.

Small update:

Temperatures here dropped to -38C and there is no heat in the garage. Engine drop is on hold right now as I have to weld RHS front jack-point. Waiting for at least 0C temperatures before I will attempt this. On the other hand I could just spray some water on the jack-point and attach it to the frame by freezing it to it

Other projects going as planned. Inspired by Singer 911 Im following some of their design choices. One of them is their key pouch pictured below.

Image found online (Singer 911)

I started experimenting with leather stamps and curing processes. This is the first try. More to come.

Looks very nice. Tight fit.
Do you have a template that you can share?

I can make a template. But, because it is a tight fit some minimal adjustments would be required on part of others.

No worries. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and your pics finally tempted me to get off my ****.
I think boxy has a template for this.

Great plates. On the driver side, you may want to alter the outline, to allow room for the cable bundle to the DME. Ran into that issue with mine.
If you move your DME, disregard.
