Bitter-Sweet Beginning

Just went through all the pages... So much respect for your work Andrew! Thumbs up.
I would never have the patience to wait years until I can drive my 964. Forgot about doing all the work by myself. But I have to say, I would be tempted to do the same if I had the space and time for it. Just would need even more time that you needed
But the 964 is my only sports car, so I couldn't live without for more than a couple winter months.
BTW, keep us updated about the bump steer kit. I have Cup1s on my 89 C4 at RS height and it would theoretically need some adjustements (tie rods?) to not rub. My car rubs the front left inside when turning right (I think), but not when turning left. I've read in Adrian's book that it would work without rubbing but can't remember what exactly has to be done. I bought the car a year ago and wonder if they did these mods back in the days when they fitted the Cup1s.
Thanks!

Thank you
It was a difficult road to get to this point but thanks to this forum and the support of many new and seasoned contributors I was able to complete it. Over time and over budget, but that's a running theme with these cars.
My winter project is: steering, suspension, wheel bearings, bushings and brakes. Nothing too crazy, keeping the car as my daily with only occasional track day. Will definitely go with the ER outer and inner tie rods. I heard the advantages of the outers are minimal over OEM, but since I need to replace them - might as well.
Thanks!

Day 3
Today was the hardest. Also, I hit a roadblock. Rennlist veterans will notice that the passenger spring plate is missing. Yes, that one is still attached to the car. 4 hours and several bits broken and tools bent. I'm at a loss here. Due to the tight space I was unable to fit my 3/4 breaker bar and 1/2 inch is not strong enough. Any ideas?
Next step: Pressing the wheel bearings out, I heard it's really simple
Thanks!
