Waiting on Bilsteins and Eibach Pro that I got from a member here and was wondering if I need bump steer correction kit. Considering it because my steering rack boots are torn and I had "while in there" moment, so I can do the tire rods at the same time.
Wait for the suspension experts to chime in, but in the meantime...
I think you're fine with regular tie rods, but it all depends on how low you want to go? RS or lower?
I recently had Bill HD6s installed with HR springs (similar to your set up), there is a nice amount spring height adjustment. I'm at RS+15mm.
I need to upgrade my tie rods too, and was looking for something that would me a little more aggressive than stock. I was surpised that ER didn't have anything more aggressive than OEM spec tie rods.
993 guys talk about pinning their tie rods, is there something similar for a 964?

Do you have a photo of your ride height? I would like to end up somewhere around RS spec. I will be slowly refreshing / upgrading all bushings and mounts. Nothing crazy, the plan is "Street ++" with occasional track day.
I was wondering if I can mount the the rear shocks assembled like that (normally they don't have the blue corrugated sleeve, just the top black solid one - right picture). I thought it will protect the shock better but thinking about it now the shock will depress under the weight of the car so the black solid sleeve will cover the exposed piston anyway.

ER has a nice kit, but do I need it?
Thanks!

Andrew,
I have just got my car back from alignment and have the Hd/Eibach setup and did put new tie rod outer pieces in. I am not sure I even understand "bump steer" term, but what would indicate a need for correction kit ?
Bump steer is when your steering wheel turns on its own when going straight over bumps or irregularities on the road. When lowering your car you change the angle at which the steering rack operates. The bump steer kit is designed we to correct the angle back to stock.
I will watch for such issues. I have not checked ride height as the chap that did alignment did not supply me those numbers. He also works in imperial measurement vs metric. Appreciate it.
Did you find, like I did, that the new alternator has a triple square fitting that is a different size than the tool in the factory tool kit? If memory serves, the tool kit is 10mm and the fitting is now maybe 9mm?? But I could be wrong.
Point is, if you have to change the belts by the side of the road, with the new alternator, you will need to have put a different tool in the bag, or you are stuck...
