Yes I saw the article. It works brilliantly straight out of the box, 100% plug and play. The guys at SC are very helpful too incase you have any questions. Other than idle being set a little high for my liking. I haven't had to make any changes. Sure I have made changes but that's just me poking about
I kid you not, you can plug it all in and getting running in an evening. It's made the throttle a lot more responsive and the car pulls well. I intend to take the car over to SC for a map check and power run. This is purely for peace of mind really as I'd not expect anything much to be changed outside of a tiny tweek here and there. Certainly no regrets so far.
The article quoted a 45hp increase and a nice boost in torque particularly from 4k rpm, pound for pound I would have thought this has to be one of the cheapest power upgrades out there.
Yeah, it's a bit of a mystery. They went over board with shielding in other areas but totally neglected the rear arches. Maybe it was a heat concern? Not an issue now tho since I run with no cat and a cup pipe instead of the primary muffler. It'll be nice to hopefully not have muddy water running out from under the lights and down the bumper anymore
Can't work out why on earth Porsche did not do this in the first place... Anyone know?
Did the 993's have them? If so could they be retrofitted to the 964? It's been something that's been bothering me too - all that road dirt and grim ending up caking the the right light rears... Any flexible plastic that could be cut to fit should help (anything that prevents a direct path to the rear corners I would have thought).
Looks perfect Rob .. Satisfying to see even from here.
Interestingly the 964 T has rear fender liners fitted stock from what I could see
... But fenders obviously wider re the parts question ... Best solution per Franks suggestion
Is a massive RobT groupbuy
