WOW, my boring pictureless thread has been noticed, glad people are reading it and hope all my weights help others.
Want to get to the end of the stripping stage first, still got a lot of kgs to go with ABS delete, power steering delete, sunroof delete and few odds and sods. I'm pushing to hit 200kg of stripped weight (will be hard but I don't think impossible) and then yes to lightweight parts for everything you have listed and more
That is mad, its lost all the pleasing qualities of the 964 shape so not a direction I will follow. I'd like my car to look fresh like Nski's, love the clean, simple and understated look
thanks kos, carbon is my thing been designing cars with it since 1989, Easy have done a great job de-mystifying it all. Go for it as I'm sure you'll get a lot of satisfaction from making your own parts, for inspiration have a look at Rob964's excellent build. Feel free to PM me if you need any advice
Thank you very much gentlemen, this info. has pushed me onto the right side of 160kgs, I'm going to go for middle for diddle and call it 1250g per side, always find its better to be pessimistic when it comes to weight saving

and yet another round of part removing
0.368kg LH rear plastic lower engine shroud and fixings
0.352kg RH rear plastic lower engine shroud and fixings
0.582kg RH plastic lower engine shroud and fixings
not sure what the correct name is for these parts, they are plastic silver foil covered panels that seal around the engine between the engine tin and the rear under tray panel to duct the engine cooling fan out through the two rectangular holes in the rear under tray
0.444kg pair of bumper mounting to chassis rail reinforcing steel tubes
0.025kg rear under tray steel mounting bracket (forward engine position)
0.102kg radio chassis steel surround
0.219kg pair of HVAC dash vents, ones nearest the doors
Weight removed running total 162.75kg or 358.8lbs
not driven my car since starting this diet but I can really feel the difference when pushing it in and out of my garage

and yet another go at picking off weight
5.062kg front aluminium bumper beam and mounting bolts
0.917kg front bumper steel mounting tubes, mounting bolts and gaskets
0.388kg large horn and steel mounting bracket (a bracket on a bracket )
0.349kg steel mounting bracket for horns
0.050kg foam front bumper in fill pieces
0.246kg headlight washer nozzles and tubing in the front bumper
0.387kg LH dash knee pad
0.406kg RH dash knee pad
Weight removed running total 170.555kg or 376.01lbs
Think that's about enough stripping of parts for now
Need to reconnect my ignition wiring, fire up the engine and check all the electrics work before starting to pick apart the wiring loom.
Hoping by the end of all the stripping of parts the car will be 200-205kg lighter, then upward and onward with fitting some lightweight parts

Hey Cap, glad to see you're finally going to stop taking stuff off!! Great work so far!
Had mine weighed again two days ago while doing geo and it was 1348kgs with 3/4 tank of fuel. So that tallies with the previous measure of 1304 with less than a quarter tank I think.. Yours should be way better!

Does anyone have a weight for a pair of front spotlights they can post up please??

You're removing the bumper beam(s) to save weight? Seems a little OTT to me considering their structural benefits in an accident (god forbid)...
Very interesting thread, just hope you don't compromise your safety for the sake of (minor) additional speed gains
