I'd be in for a group buy.

I think that black one looks pretty good & clever idea if you want to keep the shorthood with the look of the early cars. Have you got any more info about this - I had a search on Pelican and for a Zeke but didn't come up with anything.

^^^^^^^^
Zeke did a great job on his front bumper. Looks like a much simpler way to go retro up front. No new fenders, hood, etc.

That said, let's not forget how close the 964 front end it to a longhood already. (I understand many will not agree with that comment)

Most people dislike the 964's front, thinking it looks too big. I believe most of the effect comes from looking at the car in pictures at different angles. It can distort the effect somewhat, making it look bigger than it really is.

I think they did a great job on the front bumper. Again, it can look big in pictures but it's actually a very clever design.

Some fun comparison pictures I took a while back.

It's actually amazing how close the front bumper profile is to a longhood.

Seems like Tim Schrick has been driving around one of these Lightspeed Classic backdates based on his facebook postings.

I believe it might be based on a G-model 911, not a 964.

If it's the same car as in this gallery, then it's a torsion bar car.

The pictures of the red car on their facebook page appear to be a 964 base car.

Some new headlights

We have fitted full LED light clusters from Germany. Amazingly bright (with a lifespan of 30,000 hours!) and road legal in the UK. They will be available as an upgrade on all 911's from RPM soon.

some things just can't be ignored on a faithful backdate: rocker panels, oil lines, jack points are definitely some of those. I'd add that the overall height of the bumper is also a deal-killer, if the proportions must be changed to hide the car behind it...?

DP is on the right track abandoning the rocker covers and running 15s - that's the kind of stuff that makes a great backdate. you shouldn't be able to tell that it's a 964 from a parking lot photo if it's done well.

my personal opinion, of course.

One of my favorite RWBs as of late, 964-based, longhood backdate look.
