Hi LPMM,

as I said. My red RSR is for sale.
I spend much time on details... mine has real RSR fender extensions (not turbo shape)
and the 15 " wheel size (not the new 17" from Fuchs.....).
Don't know if that's important to you.

I believe this is a 964-based car.

Small write-up in Spanish and a few more pics.

Love the color and 12 o' clock tachometer. Nice work DP!

A PS Autoart job. I believe it's 964-based due to the offset on the large diameter Fuchs.

Looks like DP Motorsport is embarking on another 964 backdate.

Photo Album in progress
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2185093&type=1

Google translate description, hopefully someone who speaks German can clarify for us.

dp964 Classic RSR lightweight
Have a look at the emergence of a beautiful retro lightweight racer in the optics of the legendary 2.8RSR .
The base is a Porsche 964 from the year 1993.

Here are a few facts:
Body: much easier with fiberglass and carbon parts
Color: Ral Telegrau 2 (uni )
Engine: 3.8L engine capacity with about 320 hp
Interior: Auslackiert with welded cage
Wheels: 9x15 and 1x15 inch Fuchs rims

Also interesting on that photo album are the comments at the bottom. I believe the users Michael S. is expressing a negative opinion of chopping up another 964 for backdate, but user federleichte-elfer (who I believe is associated with DP) points out that this 964 was not in great condition, needing paint and mechanical work, and also having an incomplete interior, therefore, it is a good candidate for backdate.

Again, it would be good if a native German speaker could translate some of that dialog for us.

It is a cool looking car but I hope they did not cut up a real speedster to make it. Lots more pictures here:

I think only a few 964 Speedsters were widebody from the factory, but all of the 1989 IB Speedsters are widebody.

15 widebody 964 speedsters. The info was documented on another thread a while back.
